Not sure if this has been mentioned before now, but the one thing that bothers me about slicing atm is that ALL slices are exactly the same ie 8% damage slice, 4% speed, 4% damage etc... Although the initial stats on the weapon/armor may vary, from a smuggler viewpoint its just a process that any Master Smuggler can click through the motions with as long as they have the necessary tools. I thought it might be nice to havean occasional rare dropwhere say a Core Booster has a +.5/1%damage modor Reactive Plating with a +5% Armor Break Reduction? Or even a variance on all tools where some are good for certain slices and others not. Just would like to know the pros and cons of such an idea.

Please pardon my ignorance, as a Retired PostCU Smuggler I have had very little smuggling experience, but it is a profession I plan to return to and do watch closely as I believe its one of the best in the game.

It would make the currently on TC introduced stacking of slice tools kinda obsolete...

We couldn't play SWG without Tiggs. Now we can =)

This was talked about numerous times in the old days.
Back when all the tools were craftable and not loot drops.

I've just returned from hiatus and am not pleased to find this out.
Even less pleased to find out how expensive everything is.

-Edit-
And now im even less pleased than before as it appears the forums don't like Mozilla, as i was forced to use IE to post this.
Oddly enough, I don't have problems on the MxO forums, which were apparently copied from here.

Nevermind, turned of the WYSIWYG editor in preferences.

Bug fixes. Heh! Smuggling. Heh! A Jedi craves not these things.

My SWG Observations

If they stopped the expansions for one year and gave quality revamps to the professions that need it most, many people would resubscribe.
With all the resubs, and the new players, there would then be plenty of money to hire enough people to do 2-4 quality revamps per year plus 1-2 larger expansions per year and/or 2-4 smaller expansions per year, and not give the BigWigs a pay cut. (Possibly even an increase)

don't hold your breath. I would expect the jedi to be able to slice their own sabers before we get anything remotely interesting like this. (don't freak out -- that was just a way of saying "it'll never happen")

Jedi kiss their sisters -- repeatedly.
