Thread: What Smuggler-ish Systems are ALREADY in-game?

Hey folks,

I came back from the Cape after being there for about 3 days and found the 9-page thread with JFreeman's posts in it. I don't really want to tack this on to that thread because it's seen its wear and tear already.

Some people (I didn't read the whole thing) outlined a few systems which are ALREADY ingame that could be code used for a Smuggler "revamp."

If the devs think a revamp is too much work, lets make it a bit easier for them and outline for them what systems already exist from which they can steal some coding.

-Ship docking in space
-Mining in space (i don't mean actually mine the spice, but it could be a similar format)
-Contraband searches (although rediculously stupid right now, could get overhawled a bit)
-Mission terminals
-The old man can find you wherever you are, why not NPC BHs or NPC Imp crackdown troops while you're on a mission

I know this has all been hashed out before, but lets try to consolidate a list of what's already in there that could be used to create SOMETHING.

odd idea but why not take the bh system and copy it...then alter it so something eqivalent to spynet opratives hand out the smuggler mission details after taking a generic desription from a smugglers term or something.

just an odd idea
