Thread: Some Slicing Questions

I have an alt who is a Smuggler. I haven't played on him for a while. I've read some of the stickies and if this is covered there I apologize for missing it. So here are my questions.......
1) What are simple tool kits used for?
2) Can weapons break (as they used to) from an unsuccessful slice? If so can they be repaired?
3) Someone told me the more you slice a weapon the more likely it is to break down from use. If this is true can it be repaired the same as repairing a weapon that breaks down from conditioning? Can smugglers repair this damage or is it weaponsmiths? If so what do smuggler use to repair the weapon (or armor).
If anyone knows a good thread or website that has an up to date information that answers these questions and more I'd appreciate it

Just because you said you read the stickies, I'll answer you, because I know some of your questions aren't answered there. But you needed to pay a little more attention, because:
1. slicing. that parts in the FAQ
as for the rest
2. No, that was a feature of the slicing system that never even made it through a day of testing before they scrapped it for the loot system
3. NA

7. NA
And remember, the 'nice' guy didn't help you either.
