So, xp in groups is now divided between all the members of said group. If your in a group and you all work to kill something, instead of everyone getting full xp for the kill, the xp is split up between everyone.

Yep, means it the jedi population boom will take much longer. Thank god for small miracles.

Doesn't really bother me... only thing I grouped up for post-CU was high level hunts anyway. I typically avoid grinder planets because of the lag.

I actually enjoy hunting and grinding out stuff. I've been picking up some FS stuff here and there just to add a bit more punch to my template. But this, it's just nuts.
Just reactivated my Lineage 2 account. I dunno why but even though NCsoft is in Korea they seem to do a better job of making sure they're patches and updates actually work than this crew. If anyone needs me I'll be leveling my Spellhowler. If this turns out to just be a bug then I'll show back up. If it's not a bug, well.....

You realized that calculations are at 600 days of grinding for 6 hours a day to become a full template Jedi?
And it's not like this isn't effecting regular players. Got help anyone if they decide to regrind their template to try something new. I prefer spending my time playing, not charring blaster holes in Bols for 10 hours a day for the next month.

This is just another example of the Developers demonstrating that they have no idea what so ever of what the player base wants, nor what makes the game work.
Yes, this will limit Jedi grinding...Yay.
This will also cripple new player advancement, and well, considering the number of people quitting... new players are what you need. But then this is the company that made EQ, so I am sure that they believe that people actually like grinding. They don't, people want to play the game, not grind. Now they have basically screwed over everyone since you have to group for certain mobs, but now you get no xp for doing so... great job Devs, way to prove that you are utterly clueless morons when it comes to the goings on of your game!

Here's what gets me on this:
They gear the CU towards grouping. Some professions can hardly damage an enemy or can't do so without killing themselves (Smuggler, Teras Kasi). Consequently, some professions can damage an enemy but have such low defense that they will be killed before taking out the enemy.
This was the idea of the CU. Interdepency and group roles for professions. Now, it's pretty well impossible to grind in a group. It's pointless for anyone that wants to do something in the game other than grind. So, you go out solo to do something. Oops, profession roles and interdepency makes that hard as hell as well as slow as all get out. So you're back to where you started.
Oh, and just so everyone knows...it's not just us full templated Smugglers and stuff or Jedi. CL5 character is getting 10 (ten) experience points for killing a L81 Bol.

I'll put it this way. I'm not gonna pay every month for an interactive chatroom with a spiffy GUI. 20 minutes until the L2 client download is finished....go go gadget 7meg cable connection!

So, is the xp split based on individual damage done to the target, or merely shared equally among all group members? And what about healing xp? This is wierd...

ROFL.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Each day gives me another reason to be glad I cancelled my account.

btw - doesn't all this "bug fixing" and changes to xp seem like it is leading up to something?? Anyone else heard talk of regular XP and jedi XP??

I have an educated guess as to what's going on... and that the likelyhood of me wanting to cancel my account in a week is getting higher all the time...
