As most of the Master smugglers have done and constantly suggest, charge what YOU want to charge. And, while you're at it...
QUIT PRESSING ME TO INCREASE MY PRICES!!!
I will charge whatI want, and every time I read a newthread telling me to charge more I will drop my prices another 100 creds!Same thing goes forwhineysmugglersgrimacing when they evesdrop to hear what my customers are paying.I say evesdrop, because I'm doing an ILLEGAL modification, shouting my activity or my costs for it is just plain lame!
While were on this lovely topic... I don't give a fat flying flatulent funk nugget if Doc's banded together to buy a doughnut, let alone price hike a set of buff (following a stabilization of their stat modifications, mind you). As far as I'm concerned they did so to the detriment of their surrounding populace. I am not punishing my comrades for what Doc's did!!!!
However, I havestarted charging every Master Doctor a 45k flat rate, per item. Is that too much? I never know.
As for the rest of Ahazi, I'd rather not have them hate smugglers, orpassa stereotype on me as "a greedy, self-centered,whiney, snobish,immature, near-sighted gynocologist, cry-baby" simply due to the fact thatIhave the title "Master Smuggler" floating over my skull.
And, to be quite honest, the fact that a few of you are so concerned with howIchoose to play a computer game makes me feel a little queasy... or perhaps that's just the currysandwichI justate. Is curry supposed to be greyish?
Of course that's just my43 cents. (inflation... Go figure. /shrug)

I as a fellow smuggler and a long time player can unequivocally say this.
I could give less than a wookies hairbrush leavings what you charge, or what any one charges. I do strongly believe that the vast majority of players feel exactly the same way.

Honestly, i don't care what anyone charges . you wanna charge 100 per %, that's your choice..
if i wanna charge xK flat rate, i will.
Just show some respect. if someone's doing sliceing for 100 per %, then move to another location... this way, if they don't wanna pay your prices, send them to the other guy..

i must admit that when i set my prices i was expecting people to tell me to lower them, however they just seem to pay them without a complaint. I love the people that negotiate thou, i have got some wacky things instead of payment lol
so to a fellow Ahzai smuggler you charge what you want, there are enough creds to spare
and no grey curry is not good

I sometimes accept to slice for privates, friends or even peeps I don't know if I'm in the right mood and got tools with me. in that case I don't even charge, or tell people to pay what they want.
no one should tell us what to slice, those are kids who didn't figure out the right way to make $$$

Was this post really necissary? What is wrong with checking out your competition's prices? Nothing, all proffesions do it... if you can't deal with this game have a semblance of a market economy then tough luck.

I think this debate is stupid.
My friends and allies will always get free slices from me... (i think it's what most of the people do over here)
But a regular joe at the coronet starport.... thats 10k per slice and it's if i have the time.

Charge whatever you want to, why should it matter to me. I look out for one and only one person and that's me. The problem is here that people are more concerned about what others are doing than themselves and that only leads to lower profits.

I hear ya! When I used to slice for profit, if I got hassled by another local slicer (either trying to undercut or get me to raise my prices), then all my slices were free for the next 10 minutes. Or till the other guy went away to sulk.

I normally charge 5k a slice, 7.5k if they look like they have money and 10k for an attitude. Free for friends.
