Thread: A take on spices, playing on how we slice.

We all know that the slicing system's sole purpose is to enhance what is already their. Why stray from that formula?

Have spices enhance other buffs.

Let's take for example, Scramjet. Useless. Now, let's take a new spin on it..

'When used, if the subject receives a mind enhancement from a dancer, it will be doubled'

Not only does this improve other buffs, but it would be a big hit with powergamer/grinders/everybody!

Ones that would, say, mix with the 'bloodstream' during a doc buff, improving it's length. Or one that would say, give you the munchies, causing you to have 2x the stomach room for foods. I mean, stoners in real life love to listen to music as they get high, so have music buffs improve with spices. Of course, experimentation would be minimal, as would resources. It should ride solely on a system like slicing. A mixture of luck as the user takes it, sorta like how theirs 'bad weed' and 'good weed'. It would add a bit of a slice flavor to it, but the improvements are more then worth it. And, now, the downer would say come AFTER the buff the spice is based on. That way, it wouldn't be somewhere in the middle of combat.

(And just for the hell of it, if a stormtrooper or an imperial sees you having the 'downer' in public, hefty fine)

Han Solo: Well, you can forget your troubles with those Imperial slugs. I told you I'd outrun 'em.

[Nobody is listening]

Han Solo: Don't everyone thank me at once.
