I have gotten several pieces of composite armor, in perfect shape with 90 percent resists with the exception of kinetic and electric. Stun vulnerable but 90 percent on the rest. I also have some stun composite with 87 percent resists with exception of electric and stun i believe. What would these be worth. We are talking helmets and pants for the most part. If anyone has any idea I would appreciate it.

No, for the smuggler. What is considered a good slice when selling weapons and how do you price the things. I sliced a flamethrower for 32 percent damage last night messing around and it hits for a max of 1194. What would you start these off at if you are selling them. Any help would be appreciated on this information.

thanks

no
I buy good base weapons and armor and slice it to put on a vendor, just say im addiced to it. I got a 35 percent effectiveness slice on a stun helmet and pushed the resist into the 90s. I need to know what to sell this stuff for. I dont only slice for people, i slice to see what i can get and end up with a lot of extra vks. believe me, i have a ton and dont know what to sell them for. has anyone did a listing to see what a weapon is worth like a 14 to 19 slice detracts from the price of the original weapon say knocks it down by 50 percent, a 20 to 25 percent slice adds 20 percent to the value, a 26 to 29 adds 2x the price of the weapon, 30 to 32 adds 3x, 33 and 34 are 4x and 35 is 5 to 10x, all this depending on the weapon or armor sliced. a 35 percent effectiveness slice on good composite to push the stuff into 90s resist would be worth a ton more then a 35 percent encumberance slice on the same thing. This is what i need help with.

yes...that is what i sell for. you asked, that is what i do. if you buy a wep and get a low slice most people are going to tell you it is worthless than unsliced...based onunsliced potential.

slice is a slice to me. i charge more for the pain in the ass it is to seperate items into bags by encu or eff slices.

So in theory, you buy a set of stun composite, score the perfect 35 percent slice across the board on effectiveness. You bought the armor for 550k, you just turn around and sell it for 600k? Can i buy some Or you buy a vk, slice it for 35 percent damage and bump its potential up a ton and only sell it for 18k if you bought it for 11k?

I had this conversation with a lot of people on my server since I am going to start selling sliced weapons and armor. We came up with something like this (based on what hunters said they would be willing to pay for sliced goods).

Speed Sliced Weapon and Encumbrence Sliced Armor

10-20% slice= Nominal Slicing Fee

20-30% slice = 1.5 Times the price for unsliced

30%+ slice = 2 Times the price for unsliced

Damage Sliced Weapon and Effectiveness Sliced Armor

10-20% slice = 1.5 Times the price for unsliced

20-30% slice = 2.0 Times the price for unsliced

30%+ slice = 3.0 Times the price for unsliced

That seemed to be the majority and everyone was in agreement that Damage Sliced and Effectiveness Sliced armor was more important to them than Speed or Encumbrence Sliced stuff.

like i said a slice is a slice to me...for armor i charge more to sepearate and bag than to slice. if you think i only charge 50k more you are gravely mistaken.

that sounds good...speed in some cases is better than dmg...and encu is better than eff.

let me explain myself a little bit more...

i.e base pistol 122-229 2.5 speed. Master Pistoleer with Dirty Fighting IV. Their pistol speed mod is +74.

using the dmg calc, the damage per sec on the speed slice makes the wep have a higher damage output than the damage slice.

lastditch 607.5 2.6 - unsliced

lastditch 820.4 2.6 - w/35% dmg slice 165-309 2.5

lastditch 949.2 1.7 - w/35% spd slice 122-229 1.6

check my math hehe...i could be wrong on the slices

I am sure we can all find a specific instance to back up any argument we care to make. My only statement regarding this was that the MAJORITY of people asked said they would prefer a damage slice over a speed sliced. Bear in mind that these people came from across all professions so there are some that cap on all the weapons they use for speed so I am sure they are biased towards a damage slice.

All I am saying is that without spending the time to come up with a price for every single type of weapon that is specific to that weapon, I chose to try to come up with some generalized pricing based on a simple formula I could do in my head so I didn't have to sit there with a calculator while slicing and stocking a vendor.

I am also sure that once the vendors get up and running I will be tweaking prices on certain items based on how poorly or how well they are selling.

Damn...use your freakin' head...set your own prices. If they're too high, you won't do any business and will have to lower them. If they're too low, you'll be swamped and will have to raise them.

Bottom line...

PRICE WHATEVER YOU FREAKIN' WANT!!!

I forgot to add the best brainstorm I ahd when thinking of pricing:

When you price your pre-sliced items always use the last two digits to let the buyer know what percent slice it was. So instead of selling a speed-sliced FWG5 for 10000 you would instead sell it for 10032 to let the buyer know that it received a 32% speed slice.

One thing to note is that this method obviously does not work if you are in a town that charges sales tax but otherwise it is a great way to educate your customers. The only downside is that it could bite you in the ass if you end up with all your lower % slices sitting on the vendor because everyone can see they were poor slices.

Thank you for you replies. I figure I am doing ok then. On the junk slices regardless of what I paid for the weapon, yes, if i paid 50k for it. I dump it on the merchant vendors in the cities for 5499 credits. I sell more VKs this way, new players seem to buy them or people that just want a quick weapon buys them. I have sold a lot of vks with 33 percent or higher damage slices for 200k each and can not keep it in stock. Anyway, thank you for your replies. It did help a lot
