Thought you all might be interested in this post by Sunrunner's own Mor-Dan systematically explaining in easily understandable terms why speed slicing is actually a good thing -- and not just for novices weapon users.

I thought this was common knowledge.

The only people who can complain about speed slices are people who are speed capped and they are the ones who put themselves in that situation. Getting a speed slice on a de-10for someone who has 120 pistol speed isnt going to help them.

For me though ya speed slices are just as good since I am not speed capped.

I know this weaponsmith too. He is one of the people I do contract slicing for. He is one of the most courtious people I deal with.

well, we can't reach everybody with information, but we can reach some. that's where it all starts. you can't educate the population in a day. it takes time and word of mouth. smugglers may have always known this, but you now you have some numbers to throw out and prove to that unhappy non speed capped customer that it isn't the end of the world, and tat in fact they are now better off.

Now i can tell those people that say i ruined there day by getting a speed slice on there acklay hammer that i actually did them a favor...if they're not speed capped of course, I only say this cause it happened to me this morning :/
