Ok here is a good question. Why, when I go to smuggler supply vendors do they sell spices? Any smuggler can make that stuff. I want WUK, AUK, clamps, laser knifes, etc.... Again why sell spices??? Maybe the vendor is just mislabeled??

It's probably just because all those shops are run by smugglers, and the only other thing they can make is spice, so they may as well dump a bunch on their vendors as well. Not to sell to other smugglers, but to whoever drops by.

This is a bad question answer is obvious, like a weaponsmith vendor there going to sell weaponsmith wears, ie weapons so going to that vendor your pretty sure of getting weapons...
As with smuggler supplies i would expect to find clamps, knives and yes drugs , namely muon and pixie both still good for emergency use...
Maybe its the titel of vnedor has confused you insted of smuggler supplies it should be smuggler wears etc.
Plus remember WUK and AUK are not made by smugglers but amorsmiths weaponsmiths so are not guarenteed at smuggler supplies ( usually are though )

I am with the original poster. A smuggler SUPPLY vendor should sell supplies for smugglers. A smuggler vendor should sell spices and such for everyone else.
I would not expect to find weaponsmith tools at a weapon shop, but I would expect to find them at a weaponsmith supply shop.

Yeah, they're only sold because they're all made by a Smuggler and many feel they may as well throw them onto one vendor. It doesn't make much sense, but that's probably why they do it.
If I ever started a supply shop (which I've been thinking of doing), I'd set up a vendor for spices and a vedor for supplies. Sure it'll cost more, but it makes me sense and keeps things more organized. Besides, it's more adversting for one vendor could be under "equipment" while the other would be under "food". But that's just me.

I have a separate merchant for spices, mostly because I wanted a different name for my vendor because on my server I found it rather hard to 1 find muon and 2 find muon in crates. So I said screw it and made my own and put a crap load up on my vendor (in crates only).

Heh, I have a vendor called the "Spice Rack", but guess what, I got slicing gear on it as well.

I like to make my vendors look somewhat like NPCs. I think it looks better then simply naming it "Muon Vendor" or "Spice Vendor". So my spice vendor is called "(name I can't remember) - a Wanted Spice Dealer".

ROFL, well what baffles me more than the name on the vendor is that Smugglers sell clamps and knives to other smugglers...who are or are going to be their competition for business.
I've never sold clamps, why do I want to supply the guy next to me at Coronet starport with clamps so he can undercut my prices? duh...

Because he ends up paying you, and you're making money not only from what work you do, but the work he does.
