Smuggling Role Playing Event
Requirements:
- A smuggler (protagonist)
- Player Cities that are willing to provide a “house” that contain the contents that need to be “smuggled” and the smuggler is given admin rights to
- Guilds within the player cities willing to participate in stopping the smuggler
- A designated date and timeframe for which the event takes place.
Role Playing Background Storyline:
This aspect is dependant on the players involved.
Essentially there will be a contracting Mayor that requires some merchandise. The “merchandise” is of the type in which the mayor would like to avoid any “imperial entanglements”.
As a result, the smuggler will need to proceed to a series of locations and collect the cargo and then must return that cargo to his employer. In order to accomplish this mission, the smuggler must avoid / survive the antagonists who are trying to intercept the same cargo and prevent the smuggler from delivering the merchandise.
How can this be done:
Guild War.
The Wolfpac's only member is Rysin, so exterior interference is easily avoided. For the purposes of the RP event, the Smuggler would be added to the Wolfpac Guild and a “guild war” would be established with all the participating player city guilds in order to give the needed TEF between the Smuggler and the Antagonists. The Smuggler (and any needed support that is added if needed) would try and infiltrate the player cities, locate the designated house, and pick up the needed cargo, and move on to the next waypoint.
The critical aspect of this type of event is that the Guilds involved would not really know that they are involved. To do this, and agreement would be reached with the Guild’s that they would like to participate, but only myself and the smuggler would know WHEN the event was taking place. This is to prevent the protecting guilds from “camping” the house during the event.
Everyone should note that this is not a REAL guild war; we are just using the Guild War as the mechanism to achieve the “role playing” aspects. It should not be taken personal, this is all for fun, but everyone is a potential target (so if you are fully insured you will lose nothing)
Ground Rules:
These too are dependant on the individuals involved, but some basic ground rules would be the following:
- Killing the Smuggler ends the event!
- The smuggler is allowed to “Feign Death”, however players will not be allowed to “camp” the smuggler if he does.
- If the Smuggler “FD’s” within the city he must leave that city and proceed to the next waypoint (if he has to cargo of that city he must return the cargo)
- After completing the other waypoints, he can return and attempt that waypoint again.
- A pre-arranged time will be established for when the smuggler starts (usually associated with when the smuggler is added to the Wolfpac Guild) his mission.
- The timeframe for the mission may vary, but usually a few hours will be all that is needed.
- Once the event is over, the Guild Leaders will be contacted and the “Guild War” will be turned off.
- A reward for completing the mission and / or preventing the mission can be established if there is a desire to do so. Mainly, this is being done to add a little fun and content for everyone.

Please note, that you (As the smuggler) can have your OWN PA Hall were your would create your own 1 man guild for the purpose of this event.
Once you do the leg work (getting cities and guilds to participate) you can do this as often as you like and alternate who the smuggler is.

I've done a few smuggler RP events, it's amazing how much more fun they add to the game. This is something every smuggler should try
