What tools are required to slice Armour?

The first slice for each of the four options requires nothing but the Smuggler's skill, but after that, specific slicing components are required in order to peform the slice (one component per slice). These are as follows;


Enhance Resilience:



2nd slice requires: Simple Toolkit

3rd slice requires: Shock Absorbant Padding

4th slice requires:


Improve Impact Deflection:


2nd slice requires: Finely Crafted Toolset

3rd slice requires: Powered Motivators


Add Hardening:


2nd slice requires: Trandoshan Intraframe

3rd slice requires: Mandalorian Intraframe


Armour Break Reduction:


2nd slice requires: Shock Absorbant Padding

3rd slice requires: Reactive Micro Plating

Where can I get slicing components from?

Slicing components enter the game in the form of loot drops. These can be obtained throughout the galaxy, on the ground as well as in space. Known places that drop high end components include the Death Watch Bunker (DWB), Avatar Space Platform and the Corvette. Known specific drops include (thanks to Makris):
