decided to do something different and give smuggler a go...

i also had brawler 4xxx which claims that the next stage could be smuggler/ TKA/ commando.. so i thought id go for the smuggler but i needed pistol xp so i gave up my skills in WS so i could use my skill points for novice marksman to use a pistol...

started shooting stuff, gaining xp...

got to 10k xp and it stopped... id maxed out... for some reason i can only get smuggler through marksman x4xx (pistols) but it has it on brawler

this has confused me and i wondered if anyone can tell me anyway to get smuggler through 4xxx brawler

I'm not sure I understand but here goes....

Smuggler is a hybrid profession. You need skills from 2 (two) pre-requisite professions in oder to get Smuggler.

You need Unarmed 4 from brawler AND pistols 4 from marksman.

Er..hmm. Very odd, the pistol XP cap when at marksman x4xx isfar higher than 10k (50K is needed for novice Smuggler, 125k is needed for Novice pistoleer).Are you sure you're capped?

oh sorry guys... must be ablonde thing lol... forgot is was a hybrid proffesion.. beetter get and grind them pistol xp then

Smuggler is one of the several professions that require multiple requirements before you can train in it. You need both 4/0/0/0 brawler and 0/4/0/0 before you're able to become a Novice Smuggler.

Just like Bounty Hunter, which requires you to first master Marksman and 4/0/0/0 Scout. There are others as well, like Commando and Bio Engineer.

I think he's saying that he had Unarmed 4 (seeing it as a pre-req to smuggler) and then trying to train in smuggler noticed that the novice smuggler box required pistol exp ... but could not get the amount required (50k). I think the poster didnt realize they also needed pistols 4 from marksman.
