I do quite a bit of slicing for loyal clients, most are some what of rpers. They pay me top $$$ (i'll make 100k off 2to 8 slices)I have them pay me what they think is fair, i don't expect high pay out for poor slices. I'llfly out to them meet in a cantina slice a few things then be on my way. after a little banter and such. I'll even slice for random people that send tells while i'm waiting or between work. Isn't that what this game is about social interaction (unless your a jedi). Wait maybe it's about afk healers, and soloing big bad mobs you should have no chance to solo kill. I forget which.

The game SHOULD be about SMUGGLING for us.

Slicing should be a nice side job or hobby and should reflect it's illegal nature... the game provides none of this except for when you are lucky enough to find someone willing to RP the aspect of it. Those seem to be the only people I'm willing to slice for anymore.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

I took down my smuggler title and now don't display any title.

I'll slice for people that already know me and want to RP a little but other than that I am NOT a slice-monkey nor a drug manufacturer.

I'll wait a little while longer for some word on REAL smuggling content. If it doesn't come fairly soon I'll just be on my way out of SWG for good.

Why do I get the impression that I'm looked down upon by my fellow smugglers b/c I sit in Coronet, minding my own business, and slicing when I get the request? Yes, I deal drugs too... at least I would if I could find a bunch of children in a playground. Yes, I'd like to smuggle too, but I enjoy this as well.

For a year and a half I have done what you described. I have sat with my Master Smuggler title up and sliced on request and sold drugs to those that came to me. I have never hawked my services though as I consider that a major immersion-breaker.

I'd have less of an issue if they just told us that we were never going to smuggle and changed our profession to Common Criminal.

But as LONG as we remain Smugglers then I EXPECT to smuggle FIRST AND FOREMOST. Slicing and spices is not smuggling they way they have it implimented. Side business maybe but NOT what Smuggler should be all about.
