Thread: Someone PLEASE tell us SOMETHING...

We all knew FD had problems-
We all knew Jedi and BHs were misusing one of our abilities-
We all knew SOMETHING was going to happen-
I personally never used FD in PvP but loved the idea that I could.
So I couldn't understand why this change bothered me so much. I mean, it WAS needed.
Then I went to the Jedi and the BH boards to see what they were saying-
The BH have one or two threads that are pretty much "well, that's taken care of- now let's move on to the next thing: Rooftopping and Fight Clubs" and the Jedi don't have any threads on their first page that mention FD ATM.
Then it hit me- what is so angering about this change is that we have asked for things to be done for YEARS and all we get are empty promises meanwhile two other professions make a complaint and immediately one of our abilities is ganked without so much of a word about what was going to happen.
You know, ANYTHING would have been nice:
"Hey slice monkies! We are gonna rip you again so enjoy that cap bonus!" would have worked. Really. ANYTHING.
But I digress.
I want to ask for someone to come in here and have the sack to tell us something. Just SOMETHING soWE can move on like the other professions that demanded this change.
Tell us that this was a move not only for the Jedi/BHs but also a step for aiding in the GCW and our future designs for the smuggler revamp.
Tell us that you are taking this away but have something to put else in it's stead.
Man, give us a HINT that you care about our profession and that we are not just fodder for everyone else. If you are not going to communicate with us about what we want then at least tell us what you are going to do so that we don't feel like you are sneaking something in behind our backs.

I did it- and I didn't say anything about getting the mushroom treatment.

I like yor post.
5 stared ya for it.
However I think what is happen is:
JTL allows everyone to be smuggler
Nerfed spices
Nerf FD
Planning on nerfing (vendors) selling (contraban)
All that is left is to make slicing an artisan skill and that
eliminates smuggler as a profession.
Isn't that aboutthe way it is or not?

I may have felt exploited by other professions abusing my professions skills... (we are talking people who are mainly BH, or Jedi, whos majority of skill points were in another profession besides Smuggler).
But that pales in the exploits of "others".

Tevin, I thinks this is the best post describing how I feel. I use FD in PVP a lot but not to avoid a DB. I use itwith FOW (tka skill that jumps your stats to full if you are incaped or FD)and I don't know if this will mess me up or not because I have not tested it yet.
So why did I get so over the top pissed about it? Exactly what you stated in your main post. Nuff said andnice work.

Doesn't it make sense? Devs only listen to Jedi, because Jedi are all that matter in this game. The other professions the Devs don't think exist.

nice post.
I have wondered lately if the devs have decided they just dont want to put the work into smuggler it needs and so they intend to nerf it till so few peole play it nobody notices when they remove the profession.

Not to put words in anyone's mouth- BUT it would be so cool if they were to say something like:
"We had to bring FD into balance in order tomake things likesmuggler bounties happen."
I know I'm dreaming here but that would TOTALLY turn me around on this whole FD thing.
