Thread: Novice Smuggler and already haveing a blast!

Okay, heres the story. I took a long vacation from SWG. A good 4 months, trying out other MMORPG's. None of which I might add were quite the same. Before I quit I was trying to holo grind but that just wasnt my style, to repetative with no chance for enjoying myself (I hate grinding). Even my chosen profession (which was my first holo profession) Bounty Hunter, was giving me no enjoyment. Not to mention the other 5 or so professions I attempted to master, one of which was smuggler at the time.
Now here I am, an actual smuggler now. While still a long way from master am having the time of my life just RPing the character. Ill wait for the changes to the profession, which most sound very cool and will really add to the smuggler profession. But in the mean time I can keep myself busy sneeking past Storm Troopers, or hauling butt from a unexpected equipment check. But hey thats half the fun, the chance of getting caught, (yes I know the crack down is a joke but it is a step in the right direction).
Of course there's JTL, which will further enhance the feel of star wars. To be able to fly in space with a load of illegal cargo. Or transport a bunch of rebel's on a mission, with a little down payment of course =) . Will just be awsome. For the first time since launch Im excited to play again. Of course my new mind set and a little RPing have helped ALOT!
Well I better get back and start gathering a customer base, and make a few enemys =) Untill next time be safe, watch those check points, and guard your rear.

I agree... the character started out as an entertainer, then wandered off finding a pistol... she enjoyed the feeling of it in her hand, then one day she saw a shady character standing by the Mining outpost starport and her whole perception changed. the whole idea of being a neutral smuggler making my way across the galaxy taking both imperial and alliance credits is fun.

Thanks for the replys! I have checked out that post and must say it was very informative. Nice to know we can get together to come up with a system that works =) Ill be printing that out to use as a basis once I start selling. Thank again =)

Glad to see some posts about Smugglers having fun! I myself am also having a great time in game and forsee no end to that, especially with the upcoming Jedi Trials publish (even though it's not Smuggler-related), Smuggler revamp, and Jump to Lightspeed.
There's much to do in the game, so much to see, and tons of credits to be made!
