Recently I have run into more and more clients that refer to thier armor and weaponsmith, who tell them if slicing prices are worth the money. When did this change and why are AS and WS getting involoved in our business. This makes no sense AS and WS should stay out of the smuggling profession PERIOD!!! Some thing needs to be done does any one have a suggestion.
As a point, I do turn those people awayfor such blantant direspect and stupidity. We as a community Should do something about this I looking for suggestions

I haven't had anyone ask a WS or AS about my slicing price before. The only reason for this I can think of is the person is trying to figure if the slice price is too much in comparison with the price of the weapon/armor, but then the customer should know that anyway. Or maybe he's asking his WS/AS how much they pay for their bulk slicing, or even how much more a pre-sliced item would cost.
I do know that what most of us charge for a slice is nowhere what a WS or AS charge for a slice. In other words, the markup on a pre-sliced item sold on a vendor is much more than the 5k I charge for a slice.
If we got the sliced items off the vendors, that would help quite a bit.

They don't tell us or even give a guide. We charge what we charge.
Ask what WS or AS they're asking then chat with them yourself and see what's going on. If it's a scam just let the other smug's on your server know. *shug* won't do much but maybe the smith will realize that as legit business people they can't control the underworld without giving us a cut.

ok.. just to clear up a point...
WS can Build AND slice weapons? the only reason i'm asking is i'm building a Gunnrunner Template(WS and MS, with a little bit of Rifles thrown in, i wanna hit what i aim at with a bowcaster.) what i figure is, if i'm in my "shop" and building weapons, and get a tell for a price check on a certain weapon i'll charge 2K times the Complexity... so a complex 15 rifle, goes for 30k, if they want it sliced, add another 5k flat onto that... armor, 20k flat..
whoever is charging 1k a sloce should be nerfed... that is SERIOUSLY undercutting...

I lump these guys in with other problem customers. Every incident (be it price-haggling, complaint, whiney-sniveling, whatever) that causes me grief raises my prices by 50%. As I generally only slice for repeat customers I don't usually have problems, but when I work with new customers I'm quite firm on this. Generally the customer shuts up and deals with it, since we're either off the core worlds and no other smugglers are around or I already have his/her gear in my inventory.
In this particular situation, I also pleasantly askthe name ofWS or AS and then /addignore them. I'm not interested in doing business with anyone that screws with my customers.

Yeah i believe your right. I've been a master smuggler for about a month now and i have people telling me their AS and WS friends are saying is worth a slice. Isn't it our business to charge what we want. Its free enterprise. I dont' go up to an AS or WS saying oh yeah my WS charges this much, so how come you don't. I mean cmon stay out of the smuggling trade. We are wellfully underpaid. I mean doctors charge 10k for a buff that lasts 3.5 hours. Smugglers charge anywhere from 3k-15k and its a permenant upgrade to your weapon or armor. So its worth it.
