Thread: Novice Smuggler wonderin what to do with all that pistol exp

Hiya
Alright so ive got 175k pistol experience do i go for taking the first feign death skill? or do go up two blocks in the underworld tree or do i get myself started with Novice Pistoleer and pick up underworld 1 or something?
Pretty much i wanna grab the skills that will do me the most good in the short term for PvE, and maybe grabbin higher level missions
by the way where are the pistoleer trainers on Corellia..(Bloodfin)

Novice Pistoleer is useful. Lets you use the DX2, which gives acid damage (nice against things that are immune to other stuff).
I'd also recomend Feign Death. Rather helpful. Underworld 1 is pretty much useless.

I would recommend picking up Novice Pistoleer first then moving up the Dirty Fighting line. Once that is complete then do the Underworld line and then move onto Pistoleer if wanted/needed.

Only thing I would say different is that if you are going to be a Pistoleer as well, and you're not in a rush for Master Smuggler, you may want to head up the Pistoleer Techniques line before Underworld, all the while throwing that Combat XP into the Pistoleer Stances line.

I agree with Wolfy, get Pistol Tech IV so you can get Fan Shot and all of the nice Stun, Dizzy defences. Then move up dirty fighting OR Pistoleer Tree 2, which gives some nice combat bonus. Use that Combat Exp for the 4th Pistoleer tree... I'd suggest wiating to take underworld until the last possible min, if/when the smuggler revamp comes it will be largely changed/removed and is just a useless skillpoint sinkright now. The DX2fromnovice Pistoleer will be your best friend for a while. Great gun and armor peiercing. Don't buy one slower than 2.2 orunder90 in damage.Pick up aRepubBlaster too, just in case... but many PVE people are mostly resistant to Energy.

I used to be a master smuggler/2334 pistoleer, and am now currently regrinding smuggler, but without pistoleer. Get a good FWG5, make a /healthshot1 macro, get some good brandy, buffs, armor, etc, go to Endor, kill everything in sight. My TKM defenses seem to help but I haven't ground smuggler pistols in a couple days because it's probably the most boring thing ever, especially if you're doing it a second time. I want to be a master smuggler again
