I also wear my Master title, but I don't have tell-hell. I get a number of my tells when I'm waiting for the shuttle after they see me standing there minding my business.

Yes i get alot. I do take it down when i'm hunting and orbuffed so i don't waste my 10-15k buff slicing or answering tells..

Other than that, i have it up, the steady cash flow is good..

When in a smugglin' mood I put up the title and make myself searchable. I actually quite enjoy slicing and the odd bit of banter that comes along with RP'ers and the like.

When not, switch to Heavy Infantry and go anon. Easy enough. Been to tell hell only once so far - guy had come to me for a slice earlier in the day and was bugging for another one. I didnt want to miss my shuttle - told him I would do it but it would cost him 100,000 per slice.

Got the message.

For a moment tho, I thought I might have got away with the 100k thing!

I make myself not searchable, and I only get business from the people that can actually see me. Of course, the slicing business has been slow for me. Not sure why.

I was "Mal" before I knew there was a show about a smuggler named Mal.

I have my master smuggler title up at almost all times. And well the tells keeps comming in as I enter places like Corronet, Theed etc, but not many sending tells when I m on planets like Talus.

If I get bored answering tells I switch to novice smuggler, sometimes even putting up an AFK sign telling people I m slicing really cheap since I just got Novice smuggler <--- Best way not to get more tells about slicing

A while ago, I got bored with slicing, and decided to essentially stop slicing. I quickly found, however, that the amount of tells I was receiving were driving me even more nuts than I already am? So I decided to ditch the title of "Master Smuggler" in favor of a lesser, tell-free one. What I want to know is, do Master Smugglers still undergo massive tell-hell? I'm almost certain they do, but I just miss wearing that title so badly that I have to ask.

Yes I get a significanlty more amount of tells when i have master smuggle as my title. My advice. go look for another title to want to wear. hehe.

I have recently taken to not displaying my Master Smuggler tag and making myself unsearchable, but I still get tons of tells. I guess that's the drawback to having a lot of loyal customers.

I never have my title on, but thenI'm a rp'er and turn off all names that I can to lessen the feeling that I'm in a computer game Don't have a problem with tells, and don't lack for customers. Probably because I've been a smuggler for months and have a good rep.

Being fairly new to Master Smuggler, I don't experience the tell hell phenomenon... (been there tho, as a do...) I would agree that an established customer base has something to do with the frequency. So, those you that are unavailable when a loyal customer contacts you... keep me in mind =) I could use a bit of Smuggler networking to begin to establish a business.
