Well, the quickest way is the most expensive, and that is to pay a smuggler to buy the faction from the recruiter for you. This will run you anywhere from 120 (on the very low end) to 100 credits per point. Check the FAQ that's stickied at the top of the forum.
Your rank in your faction determines how many points you can have stored. It also determines how many faction points it costs you to give faction points to another person. Privates will lose a HUGE amount of faction points if they delegate to someone else, while a Colonel will lose a much smaller amount.
If you don't have a lot of money, you're going to have to get your points the old-fashioned way. Run missions from faction terminals, slaughter NPCs of the opposing faction, etc.

I have read the Faction Point selling FAQ by Dreven.
His factional ranking listing does not go higher than Colonel.
What about the higher ranks above Colonel? Anyone have any info here?

As of right now colonel is the highest rank you can have. For some reason the Dev's are waiting on giving players the ability to go beyond Colonel.

I have read the higher ranks will be attainable after the release of Jump to Lightspeed. However, they cannot be purchased, they must be earned. This is what I have read. If it turns out to be untrue, blame the Dev's, not me.
