forgive me for asking, but what do smuggler's have to do with jawas?

I've been a smuggler for my chare of time, but I took a break (and a character change), then a few days ago someone posted something about talking with jawas trying to get loot kits.

yes, I know, this is probably a noob question.

loot kits come from junk dealers, but if there is a jawa junk dealer he/she/it prolly sells em too!

one of the loading screens says that smugglers can now trade with the jawas at their fortress. im not deep into smuggler (0-4-0-4) so I have never been there.

Not playing anymore buy my stuff to help newbs.

To deal with Jawas you need at least 1-X-X-X so you can talk to them or more like understand them.

I had read that you could buy loot kit components from the Jawas at their fortress.

Dont's waste your time... of the 4 or so odd Jawas you can talk to, all they are is special junk-dealers. One buys clotes, one buys weapons, and so on. None sell anything.

He's right, you can't buy anything >_<.

Although you can sell clothing, (unsliced??) weapons, and junk to them. only 3 that you can talk to.

I went there last night, total bust. I shoulda been at fort tusken.

Smugglers with underworld 1 can talk to the dirty little creatures known as jawas. They offer you 50 credits for junk. I spent more money going to the fortress than i made there. For my +100 language i want to talk with Tusken Raiders.
