Thread: Player Bounties? Has there been something official that I've missed?
I do a fair amount of slicing for our guild armorsmith. If there are bounties for slicing, this could be a serious pain. I got a shop and a guild to run. I don't think I have enough time to deal with being "hunted", on top of that, as fun as that may be.
Any "official" word?

Seems to be a lot of buzz about player bounties lately. Is this our standard rumor mill, or have I missed a post somewhere?

Relax. There have been no statements suggesting that you gain visibility from slicing. There have been statements from GreenMarine that suggest that weapons can be sliced two ways. One is a normal slice. The other way is an upper level slice that would gain visibility.
You will still be able to do regular slices for your guild with no hastle. Now if you are proposing that you want to do upper level slices all day long with no penalty I'll have to severely disagree with you there. If your guild wants all upper level slicers and you are unable to be killed just one measly time for it every once in a blue moon I suggest you either hire other slicers to help with the work or stop your complaining.
Not trying to be mean, but there is a law. You as a smuggler break the law. Deciding that punishments aren't an option isn't an option.
If you want something done about it I suggest that you lobby to have PvE consequences (which will take up your time too.. not to be inconvenient in any kinda way).

You wouldn't be losing an ability either way. You'd just finally have consequences for performing an illegal action so much that people notice. I don't know that slicing would be something that increased visibility, should this sort of thing be implemented, but it would be ok if it did. Slicing is illegal, after all.
This would also bump slicing prices somewhat. We don't mind being hunted men, but we definately want to be well paid for whatever gets those hunters after us.
