Thread: Slicing ?
qeedas wrote:Iv read things in the forums saying some smugglers are better at slicing than others is this true or do they all slice at the same quality
its all in the trust and the customer service. No smuggler can do a better slice than any other smuggler, but some will treat you better, and ya damn well better be able to trust him with your stuff.
Daermoth is right, and I will add to it.
Two other important things are:
1. Knowledge
2. Parts
There are some that don't have a lot of number 2 so take advantage of your lack of number 1 to make you think they have all the number 1 there is.
Find someone you can trust who has been a smuggler for a long time and plans on being one for a long time. Make sure they have ALL parts, not just for your slice. Ask them questions.
Did they ask about your profession? Did they ask if you use a lot of specials, or rely on DPS basic attacks? Did they ask about the SAC of your weapon? These are but a few of the questions that could be asked to ensure you get the slice that will work best for you.

Good point. If the smuggler knows his stuff, he should be able to take one look at your weapon and know right away wether or not if the damage can be sliced at all, as most skilled weaponsmiths cap out damage durring crafting.
Or at least know enough to say 'Hang on, let me check the damage cap on this thing to see if I can slice it"
