I just picked up the panic shot skill, and was looking for some usage advice. Also, should I create a macro with /peace, so I don't break the delay? Thanks for any advice.

The peace macro is a neat idea for panic shot.

You may try to unequip your weapon instead then manually hit peace, or feign.

The deal with peace while having a weapon... they may hit you with a ranged attach and you could fire back.

Your best use for panic shot is group efforts...

1. You're fighting a lair and 6 rancor agro you...

a. First scream "O *edit*"

b. Then fire panic shot, peace.

c. Then run

2. You're in a cave or dungeon helping your group.

a. Stay in the back of the pack.

b.Panicshot peace.

c. Watch your friends beat the crap out of the con infront of you while you chill or go feign death

What he said about the rancors, except I just shout that out loud at home instead of trying to mash it out on the keyboard.

If I am facing a situation where i have a number of agros shooting at me, I will use the low blow then panic shot, hit control "/" then shoot the next one or run. Its a handy shot to have, and if the target is beside others it usually hits them with the delay too!

Then throw your pistol at them and run screaming for your speeder!!!11!

Would an INTIMIDATE break the panic shot delay? I'm thinking that stacking some intimidates on a target might be a good use of the 10-seconds, unless it is considered an attack and breaks it. I'll test it tonight...anyone know for sure?

I think it's good with multiple aggros - panicshot one of them and then switch to another. Keeps at least one of them off you for a little while... and as mentioned above, works great after low blow, to be sure the mob's not going to do unto you.
