Howdy, pardon the noobness, #1 I started slicing containers with my handy precision laser knife and I end up permanently sealing half the containers..what am I doing wrong?? #2 Once you hit armor slicing, does going higher, on to master influence the outcome of an armor slice, since i don't see skill mods beyond that in higher levels?..Just strategizing which blocks to climb first. Thanks.

Easy steps.

Weapon -Slice, hit molecular clamp (if novice you would have to buy from a Master Smuggler) and the rest is just read which color it tells you to cut. You can't miss.

Ok , whats happening is your cutting the wronng wire. In ANY slice there is ALWAYS a BLUE and a RED wire. In order to cut the correct wire 100% of the time you should invest in some MOLECULER CLAMPS. Use one of these before you cut the wires and it will tell you which one to cut first, thus giving you your slice. As a personal prefernce i always use Clamps.

As far as skill mods and such heres the skinny. Once you hit Master Smuggler you are still no better off than a master slicer in some respects. You have an aded bonus to slices but you can also slice just as badly as a Slicer or Novice Smuggler. Slicing is completly random and nothing will effect if you get a good or bad slice. Some Smugglers have traditions that they do or a ritual they follow before the slice but the brutal truth is nothing can determine what gets sliced and what percentage it gets sliced by.
