Thread: do you buy or craft?

i recently opened a smuggler supply shop on kettemoor in imperia, naboo. i was wondering how many smuggler buy their supplies or craft them? i know before i opened up shop i bought alot of supplies, but so far i've only sold about 30k worth of supplies (i have clamps, knives, auks, and wuks) and that seems a little low. i try and advertise as best i can and anyone landing at the shuttlport and heads south walks rigt past it. should i dvertise better or do most smugglers make their own equipment? thanks

I buy mine, I'm way too lazy to bother crafting them. It's way hard to find supplies sometimes too, but I don't know whether that means they sell really well or pretty poorly.

craft mine in mass quanity... sell them on my vendor. i make pretty good money doing this on naritus. i'm a little bit cheaper on my MOC's than some of the other vendors. I also buy the WUK and AUK and sell those on my vendor. i don't really make any money but it amkes it easier for smugs to get all there stuff in one place.

I usually have 2 Factories running, dont want to have to buy everything. Then i have harvestors goin' for the resources

i craft knives, clamps, and spice for myself in mass quantity, was about to pick up and drop business 3 to set up a vendor, but now that they're nerfing that, or fixing or whatever, i'll just have to go thru that huge amount of clamps and knives myself hehe.
there is a great WS in my guild who sells me my WUKs and a great AS in my city who sells me the AUKs

The tools will sell themselves but it is essential you get advertised on the map. On my server, a smuggler named Got'Chu did extremely well with just Business III but he was out humping it every day to make contacts, get the word out, customer service, etc. and built his shop into one the best and most successful on my server.Me...I'm not nearly enough of a businessman.
When I opened, I did very little business even with putting some ads on the trade boards. When I got on the map, I had to drop another tool factory.

I buy everything... problem is it's hard to find one vendor that has everything. I currently use 2 vendors, one on Naboo and one on Coronet cause the cheaper one doesn't stock everything, but the more expensive one is way more expensive...

I mine my own resources and make my own tools. Rarely do I buy upgrade kits because I would produce the resources necessary for making them and I use my factory and produce.
