One of my favorite things to point out is that in the movies, even though the Stormtroppers have this cool looking armor, anyone with a little pea-shooter blaster can shoot them and they go flying back like they were kicked by a mule. so what good is the armor anyway?

Chicks dig a man in uniform.

Also, if you want to run around without armor take some tka skills. Novice TKA blocks 1/5 damage coming at you. That's about how much armor I run around with and though I'd like more, it's fine if you try not to get hit

Use the terrain, dodge things, don't just stand in the middle of an open field and trade blows.

I think it is rather silly for a smuggler to be decked out in armor like some kind of battle-assualt-robot, but then again what can ya do?

I would love to see an innate armor given to smugglers

I wear black Ubese because it looks more like clothing then armor. Not to mention with Concussion shot I jus' need a way to stop them ranged hits, which are usually energy. I would love to not have to wear armor though. I think that Smugglers should have innate, but jus' not to a degree that Jedi or TKs have.

For no armor at all then MSmuggler/TKM but I'm MSuggler/MPistoleer/Commando 0-4-1-0 so I use Tantel Armor.

Though just occurred to me, havent run a search to see if its already been suggested as I am currently Overt at Cnet SP, but, how about Innate Armour for Smugglers?? that would be keeping with the films like our smuggler hero, Han Solo, he never wore armour,, he used his slippery talk and 'scoundrel' cunning instead. It just doesnt look right, us smugglers running around fully suited and booted eh?!

Just a thought...

Well, personally, if I wanna live long enough.. I do

Master Smuggler/Master Commando/Pistols 4404,,. and im no good against a halfway decent Jedi or in PVP raids

Seems to me Han didn't do so well against Jedi either. Vader owned him pretty easy.

The CU took away every reason not to wear armor, which is unfortunate, but I don't think the answer is to hand out innate armor to every profession. Would I enjoy innate armor? Sure, I have 2000 points of it due to some dabbling in TKA. I don't think it fits the profession though. If you think about it most people in the Star Wars movies didn't wear armor. Rebels got helmets and that's about it.

Personally I would rather see an advantage to being unarmored in combat again. An advantage besides the cost of buying a suit of armor. Maybe a dodge bonus or something. Now THAT seems like a Smuggler.

I think what you're really trying to say, "I wish I wasn't screwed for being unarmored!" And I can definitely agree with that.

Interesting idea, though you could just go TK. I guesss it'd be kinda nice though.
