I am almost sure I sliced my bio-linked rebel recon armor. Maybe you want to say that it is not possible to slice other people's bio-linked armor?

The last time I tried to slice someone elses biolinked rebel armor, it did not allow me to do so. This was approximately 3 days ago.

Currently, if you Bio-Link an item before slicing it, you can't slice it afterwards. Does anyone know if this is known by the Devs and more importantly is it going to be changed or have a workaround? Slicing's been broken since Pub 17 so pretty much all the weapons we've all gotten from the Expansion have had sub-standard slices or no slice at all because we slipped up and linked an item.

These issues and more is why I now run with the Rouge tag up and only slice for my guild.

I have this CRRRRRRRRRAZY idea that I didn't steal from WoW, I swear!

How about, after fixing slicing, giving the trade window a slice box? Stick your bio-linked item in it, it doesn't trade, but allows the smuggler to slice it from the screen!

There's a certain game (wink wink) that allows you to unlock boxes in the trade window without having to trade it. I always liked that idea, because I really hated trading my precious weapon to some shifty smuggler anyway. Maybe we should petition this, it's notthe first timesomeone used someone else's idea and stuck a new name on it...

Then what happens if the customer gets thier gear sliced, but decides he doesn't wanna pay? The gear is still in his inventory, so there's no incentive for him to actually pay. Is it going to undo the slice? What about the components which were used? Would you suggest that the game forces both players to stand where they are untill the customer pays the money and the trade window closes? This could be used for griefing. The way its delt with now(trading) is the most secure, since if the Smuggler tries to run with the gear, he can be reported and the gear returned. Or, if the customer decides he doesn't wanna pay, then he doesn't get a free slice or keep his weapon after wasting the Smuggler's time.

Simple answer, go to a Smuggler you can trust, one who's got good street-cred. When you think about it, a Smuggler has to be trustworthy to get business. Would a crime lord entrust contraband to someone he didn't trust, or someone who's got good word on the streets?

How many times do we have to explain this simple concept?

There's a simple solution. ID's have a similar system. The customerenters the agreed upon amount in the window, and once you start your slice they can't delete the number in the money box. When you're done, you hit a button, then the slice is actually applied and you get the money. If the process is aborted prematurely, you don't get the cash, and his weapon doesn't get the slice.

It would just be a tweak to the existing ID UI, and would make the folks with an expensive Uber ADK'ed weapon a lot more relaxed about getting a weapon sliced by some Smuggler they don't know.

It's not about the trusthworthyness of the Smuggler... I said that's my thoughts on it.

The real problem now is the bio-linked weapons that cannot be sliced. I love the image designer idea, and I never had thought about that.
