Thread: What effects slicing now ?

Do i need to use HQ res and makeexperimenttaion to craft for slicing tools like laser knife andmole clamp, to increase the % of the slice ?

Slicing gains, as far as I can tell, are on a standardized non linear scale with an inverse relationship to the realitive power of the item in question which still leaves the best the best after all is said and done.

What I mean is, no. Materials don't seem to affect it. And it's not random anymore. You will get the same slice result on anything with equal starting stats and level. Better initial stuff slices worse than poorer initial stuff. And if you slice a crappy gun and get 10% damage and slice an uber gun and get 2% damage, the uber gun will still be the better of the two after you're done. But shoddy things still get the 'best' improvement value from a slice.
