Thread: Did Last Ditch get hit with the nerf bat?

I was just Dueling in the TC and I'm hitting for like 300 pts with last ditch. 2 Days ago on the reg server I was hitting for 4k. Is the damage outputrelated to the action pool as well as the health pool or did it get nerfed?

It has changed my friend.
Now Last Ditch is an actual last ditch shot. the lower your health meter is the more damage the shot does.
Last night I was taking on lvl84 Rancor missions. Once my health dropped to like 1/4, i slapped on the Last Ditch, hit for @ 4k damage..

But, use feigh death with full health, and your lucky to get over 100pts damage.

I understand the mechanics of the special and have been using it successfully until today dueling on the TC. I got below 1/4 health spammed it and hit for 300pts. I was hitting for 4k on players before today.

nope, still works. 5777 damage on a jedi i got jumped by in pvp. He was piiiiiiiiiiiiiiissed.

ROFL. Great, maybe my action timer was to low my default attack is critical shot so the timer is always running.

I am going to have to play with this a bit. If they changed it so the LOWER your health, the more effective the shot, that would make sense.
I was watching a Swordsman duel some sort of a Smuggler hybrid. They Smuggler tried hard to keep the guy rooted and kited, but the Swordsman had a good defense with TKM and always got in and smacked him hard with the powerhammer.
The Swordsman was chiding the Smuggler about getting a more powerful weapon. The Smuggler asked for another duel. The second the other guy accepted and started moving, BAM! He was hit and on his back, incapped. I could tell by the Smuggler's health bar that he just laid a LD on him.
I was laughing my ass off, but knew that was going to draw a bunch of complaints from PvPers.

Some are already b1tching. Wander around with your Master Smuggler tag on for a while and people will try to duel you. My most amusing one was the guy who decided to quit after i rooted him with a plasma flamer and then added a neurotoxin. TKMs all think they're sooooo hardcore. If nothing else, CU has liberated smugglers from asshats like him.

Before the CU I was almost NEVER challenged to a duel. Then yesterday I was standing the Coro starport chatting with some friends and I got this "Duel" message. I looked around trying to locate the person who challenged me but I couldn't find him. So I hit /target player. He was hiding behing the arch about a 100m away. Then he started saying "attack", over and over. It took me a while to figure out what he was doing until I noticed this MSE droid wandering around me. Apparently he was a respec BH trying to figure out how a bomb droid works. LMFAO.
Gotta love the CU.

What is this -Rooted- message i see, and what does it mean?
