I'm a casual gamer and have just leveled smuggler for the first time so sorry if this has been discussed b4.

What, in your opinion is the best slice type to put on a set of armor? I would think there are useful slices for different types of armor. For instance, impact deflection (reduces decay) would be good for a suit of RIS or even an expensive faction armor suit. Armor break reduction would be good for a pvp'er or bh. But lastly, I would think add hardening would be the most useful for a normal set of armor. So if I do the math correctly .03 of the time your reduce your damage by .5. So on average, your damage is reduced by .015 or 1.5%, that doesn't seem like much of an advantage.

What slices do you put on your armor?

Like you said, it varies on what armor, who's using it, and what they want it for. There isn't a 'best' armor slice.

Any other insight- particularly about add hardening- is the math right there? Been awhile since I took statistics.
