I notice that smuggler items like the 'Delicate Trigger Assembly', and the 'Shock Absorbent Padding' will stack in your inventory. Is there a way to split these items, so that I could, say, sell one Delicate Trigger Assembly, and use the other. There is no option on the radial menu to split a group of several items.

Not yet. Apparently it's on TC currently.

I saw the patch noted for this, then seemed to have lost them. It is still on TC, though?

Well, lots of smugglers are splitting over the lack of smuggling content, but there are other issues involved to be sure. I would point to the fact that the game has never, at any point in its history, been in a working state. Well, it hasn't hit live yet.

It was put on TC on the 22nd as part of a largish patch
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=in_testing&message.id=80269 which hasn't moved on to live yet.
