Thread: MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT RP Titled Soon
Kwek-Döi made his presence known to only those that knew him, which was very few. The Twi’lek miner employed by Jabba the Hutt had a way of gliding through the Bestine cantina without being noticed by any of the regulars.
He has no reason to hide his identity from others, but he commonly wears his black cloak, covering his prehensile tentacles. If one were to look intently at the blackness of his facial shadows, they might catch a reflection of the dull cantina lights off of his yellow beady eyes.
“Hiding from the Bounty Hunter Kwek?” I didn’t bother to speak his mother language Lekku. He understands Basic, but he’s too prideful to ‘stoop’ so low.
“Bounty Hunter?” His usuall sleek, quiet manner was trumped by a violet glance over his shoulder.
“What are you afraid of? Did you cross Jabba again?” I was toying with him. Most employees of Jabba were paranoid. That’s probably why they survive in the business.
“Get your facts straight Makris. My shipments always arrive on time. I cannot help it if the Empire shuts down the Mos Eisly starport.”
“Take it easy Kwek. You’re a little uptight. Here, have a drink, on me.” I hail the bar droid with two fingers. Tattoine Sunburn, the usual.
“You’re the one who should be uptight. Jabba has no customers who would risk their necks for that addictive trash that you smuggle. Your profession is extinct. Besides, you’re no Solo.”
He touched a nerve this time, but I didn’t let him know that.
I smirked, “But unlike Solo, I’m on good terms with Jabba. Anyways, the Empire can’t keep this grip on the ports. They’ll either find Solo & his passengers, or at some point, they’ll give up.”
“The Empire doesn’t care about your ungodly work. They are a totalaristic government. Give it up Mullen, you’re through.”
“They also have no interest in legalizing it. That doesn’t mean it’ll stop me. My sources tell me that this port nonsense will open up.”
“Your sources! You wouldn’t know…”
“I’ll be back in business soon. Mark my words…Soon ™”
