I am a Smuggler and always will be a Smuggler and therefore trust Smugglers.

Anyway, I'm new back to the game, and have been gone since before publish 9. I'm enjoying being back though. Problem is,I had a bad day and died a few times, soI was trying to repair my gear and gun.I probably didn't NEED to, but I like them being near top condition. Back in the day, you really wanted a weaponsmith to fix your guns, and today they seem hard to find online occasionally. So I used a old repair kitsI still had, which was a really good kit back then, and my gun "fell apart". The gun wasn't that expensive, but the slicing components now days made that a kind of pricey mistake. So my question is, whats the deal with repairing stuff now days. Weapons, armor and anything else that has a condition rating.

Aye, 2 of the 7 peices of my scout trooper armor are dead, and I can't find a single weaponsmith to bring my precious babies back to life.

They all went Jedi.

well depending on your server i may be able to put you in contact with a few people...but if you're not on bria then all i can suggest is once you find a weaponsmith and/or armorsmith online make them your friend and ask for more contacts..good luck

Why the hell would you take armor to a WEAPONsmith?!

Both pre-CU and post the chance to fix something is the same for everyone. Armorsmiths and weaponsmiths have no better chance at repair than you do. Just get 99% repair kits and cross your fingers. The "bonus" we get is so small to not make a difference.

Well I know it USED to be wise to have a crafter fix the stuff. Could have been as far back as beta though. But I take it that has been lessened then by what you say. I'll have to be more careful and check the quality of my repair kits then.

Something else while I'm thinking about it, how do the sockets work? Can I fill them myself. I'll go look right now, just came to me. But any help to the answer would be appreciated.

Yep, you can fill sockets by just dragging armor attachments or clothing attachments to the armor/garment and it will be applied.
