Smuggler Archive
Thread: A story of a successful faction business.
I'm thinking of doing the same thing but for the Rebels of Valcyn but I wasn't sure about the vendor, more of a "post on forums and email" type thing and then run around being a smuggler and delivering stuff but I don't know how much that would work out since I play during AUS times.
Could you suggest a decent Rebel PvP player city that I could start up a business in? I used to be in TCO and the city of Draicco but they went under while I was away in WoW so now I'm homeless and guildless.
Also I've got about 15m capital, would you suggest I spend that on bases or armour or a good mixture.
Lastly, what kind of mark up are you pricing your things at if you don't mind me asking, It seems I can buy FP at 80cp per so would charging 100cr per FP for the faction equipment be to steep?
I've Haven't dealt with the PvP side of SWG since Publish 4 so you may need to drop me some hints.

Wow on-hands smuggler, I use my underlings to push my stuff, I'm the brains
You could make this work if you email some of the PvP guilds offering your services striking deals with guild that don't have thier own smugglers. I'm not to firmilair with the Rebel setup on Valcyn, your all just red dots to me
Just ask around in game or take notes of rebel fourm posters.
I've seen Imperial Faction and Perksone time saleson our TF cheaper than what I sell at and well known valcyn fourm Imperials still come to buy their stuff from me
As I say people come to me because they know I either have it on my vendor or can get it to them quickly when they need it. You'll have to concentrate on being aviliable to deleiverwhen they need part without a vendor.
Yes the different playing Times does hurt. I do most of my sales between 12am-4am GMT time or prime time in America, I'm not always on during those times depending on Uni and Work scheduials.

Freedom Talus is big (Talus is the cheapest rebel buy planet atm), Craft City on Naboo is also a large rebel city, Mos Vegas on Tatoonie but I think Scoootdog has his operations set up there. And you could try NA and ARR on dantoonie

On the rebel side bases are going to be your big seller, rebel armour currently is not in that big demand, but I'd would have some anyway, I believe the backpack sell quite well, and you have some furntiure but not as cool as the imperial stuff

My vendor is prices for bases and armour around 100cr per FP when Imperials are winning a planet 3:1 base pointsratio, I get it slightly cheaper than that on Lok atm though
Furniture is rounded to 100k a piece and sell rather well and that is a much bigger mark up than 100cr/fp on some of the items.

A current new PvP tactic on Valcyn and probably other servers is to "Dig In" on raids, this is basicly placing a cheap pve forward outpost outside the city limits your raiding, placing large Turrets on it and using it as a fall back point with the Turrets covering you
You might want to take advantage of that.
