Thread: Question for Smug/Commando

For this question we'll assume I'm a Master Smuggler/Master Commando. Let's say I'm really low on health and I have 3 or 4 Jedi beating the poop out of me. I'm rooted and the Jedi are pretty much grouped together in front of me. If I were to switch to an AoE weapon and hit Last Ditch... would it hit all of them?

Yes it would hit all of them. Wouldn't do anything to anyone but the guy you were aiming at though 
The way commando weapons are supposed to work with AoE, to my knowledge, is that the elemental damage only is applied AoE. That and states. So the damage for last ditch coming down the pipe as energy would hit the main target and the rest in the area would take 100 or whatever heat damage.

the commando's AoE-weapons are currently bugged. they do the damage only to the selected target, but not to the surrounding targets. i believe the stick-chance is about 20-33%, so it's not even sure the DoT will stick to the others. your best option here would be to Concussion Shot them and run away... FAST!

You forget, this scenario has his rooted, so concussion would likely not do much but keep him in range of thier force powers. I'd suggest trying to feign while the root is still on you. Heal a little, jump up and then use an AoE Concussion, and finally run.
