Thread: Upgrade kits.
anyone on eclipse have any they want to sell before the patch? I'd like to have a crate or 2 before it goes live. I'm sure I've got enogh room between my 3 houses to store 'em

Looks like you can 'convert' them individually. However you have to have them pulled from the crate prior to the patch. That means that there are many of us pulling the damnable things and storing them in every nook and crany including dumping thousands on vendors and the bazaar. I hope SOE sees fit to fix this so we can pull them from crates THEN convert them or their DB is going to get flooded. The new components don't stack either...which I think is kind of stupid if they are at all concerned with overloading the DB.
Lol, I've begun. I currently have 100s of crates, and not enough room for anything.
And of course, we'll all get them unpacked, scattered around our factories, houses, vendors, and ships, then Tuesday's patch notes will read: Upgrade Kits will now convert correctly while crated.
Dosi: "And of course, we'll all get them unpacked, scattered around our factories, houses, vendors, and ships, then Tuesday's patch notes will read: Upgrade Kits will now convert correctly while crated. "
More likely to read: Upgrade kits will no longer convertand will be deleted from the data base automatically.
The problem with stacking for these componentsis that they don't originate as a 'stack' or crate. I can't think of anything you can stack after it's a single item so I suspect they aren't going to invent a 'stacking' method.
Once again SOE didn't think this through before they dropped it on us. Had THIS been the In Concept concept that we responed to with about 30 pages of replies then I would imagine they'd have been told about this little issue.
I find it extremely annoying that we wasted our time responding with 30 pages to an In Concept threadthat now the slicing scheme bears virtually NO resemblance to. Which posts in those 30 pages led SOE to think that THIS is what we wanted instead?
Doesn't anyone else find the history of these slicing changes a bit questionable?
Well, didnt weapon/armour loot components convert to a stacked method after CU, or at least ones with Identical serials did. This loot wouldnt even have the trouble of different stats/serials, It should be stackable in the same way a lot of the ROTW loot is, for example.

I'm with you there. Thing is after seeing the old CU concepts and what we finally got, I KNEW it was going to happen with this too.
