Thread: Still just don't get it...

ok so yeah about this publish 19 and the smuggler chages...all the information is kinda spread around these forums so i still don't really understand the main points. I just made novice smuggler and am working my way up the slicing tree (on slicing 3 now) so I don't get it, will i need to loot corpses of insanley good bosses and creatures in order to get good slices from now on? and will i still be using WUK, AUK, precision laser knifes, and the molecular clamps and such? I know everyone is probably getting aggrivated with people like me asking about this, but i just need to know, thanks

First off, take all your damn WUK's and AUK's out of their crates (they will convert into USEABLE stuff)!!! Ok, now that's off my chest, no, if a slice doesn't requirean uber-looted component, then you don't need anything else... But, when it does, it doesn't neccessarily have to be looted by you... Customers may bring the stuff THEY loot to you, so you can slice it for them... Smugglers (very few) who CAN loot them themselves may also use the looted stuff.

Well, basically - you use your asscheeks to slice now - and remember to concentrate real hard - cause you dont wanna slip.
Other than that - you're gonna have a hard time getting customers unless to offer all your old WUKs and AUKs for free to other smugglers.
That about sums it up.

You will not need any of your old tools. They should (note should) convert to new ones.
New tools are looted, lower level slices need no tools, higher level ones do (and top end ones need stuff from high end mobs like DWB ones).
The level of the smuggler determines how much slicing they can do (at slicing 3 you can reach 50% customisation on a weapon/armour), the quality of any given slice is fixed and not random as before.

Since 90% of the population uses master elite level weapons then all the stuff is gonna be coming off those high end mobs, I suppose it's some developer's grand idea ie "A sliced plasma flame thrower will be a rare sight indeed, and all shall bow to the wielder and ooh and ahh". Kinda like how jedi are so scarce nowdays, makes me wish I could get just one more respec to drop smuggler for good.

Rofl...don't exactly know what the asscheeks part means but I got a good laugh out of it...thanks for the info guys

I'll never understand the way devs do things.
Two days ago I made my FIRSTrun of 1k clamps and now I realize I have to take out all those clamps plus the WUKs and AUKs cuz if they're in the crates when publish 19 comes live they'll become useless.
Ijust don't have time enough to play SWG, read the forums and do allthe other things I'm supposed to do. And, yes, that includes to work. I have to get the money for paying the game fee, don't I? After some days without doing it, I've read the Smuggler forum and I've found out that I'm gonna lose most of my slicing tools beacuse I don't have time enough totake out every single WUK/AUK/Knife/Clamp out from the crates. Even if I had the time I have no enough room for them in my 2 houses, nor the money to buy other houses and use them as warehouses.
This is crazy. I'm not cornering smuggler tools. I just got slicing IV and wanted to slice for my guild's smiths and mates.

I've looked all over the place - I see that WUK's and AUK's are converting; are nodes, clamps, and knives doing this as well?
