Hey all, I'm thinking of respecing my WS back to a combat prof. I've always wanted to go smuggler with maybe pistols or whatever (not sure). At any rate, one of my other toons is a MBH so I'll have little to no difficulty in getting slicing supplies. I imagine smugglers can make some decent cash by slicing and a little more by selling spices. Is that true? I had little success with WS as I am only a 10 point and crafting, to be honest, is too dull.

At any rate, I'm fishing for a new prof and I'm sick of that respec notice popping up on my screen, lol.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I respeced to a Hunter and also tried out a warrior and a shaman. My respec is working out really well becasue now I actually have meaningful content and quest rewards that i can use. I also get to do quests that don't involve me getting a broken data pad as a reward so I am happy.

Wow, Shaman eh? That's cool. Did you set up an afk macro for rain dancing or do you do it at the keyboard? Thanks for taking the time out of all your grinding to reply to my post. You're awesome!!!!

I would reconsider... Smuggler is broken. No way around it.

Slicing and spices are dead ventures for the most part... Faction Farmers killed the FP market. No content.

Not a good time to become a new smuggler.

Account cancelled again. Fix this flippin game. GCW, Smugglers, Player economy, enjoyable content and all bugs over 3 months old must be repaired before this game is worth the subscription. Get it, got it, done.

As for the argument of "The Jedi are bored, give them content and they'll go away." I actually do agree with you. However, there are two major problems to this argument. First, it would take a lot more coding time than just disabling the Old Man on one server. Second, all that time that would be devoted to a SINGLE PROFESSION is not being devoted to fixing bugs, adding general content, or making new expansions for the rest of the game population. So this is a classic problem of the needs of a few over the needs of the many. I can name seven professions that serve little to no purpose right now. You want more work done on one that's already absorbed an estimated 75% of the coding time for the past year. In my opinion, it's time to get the Jedi off the nipple and give the general population their turn.

errrm I can only think of one benefit atm and that is to slice your other toons crafted weapons.

As a combat profession it is pretty gimped

There is no smuggling content

Spices and Sliced weapons are likely to be removed from Vendors soon

There is no smuggling content

Spice crafting is to be removed shortly

There is no smuggling content

Combat specials can be fun

There is no smuggling content

I still love my MBH Msmuggler even tho it sux against Jedi and he cant smuggle

I'll take that advice I think. It's too bad, because obviously there's a tremendous amount of possibilities with this prof.

Even tho smuggler has ZERO content, it's easily my favourite profession, if you can get into the mindset of a smuggler and have fun with it.......
Desperately need a REVAMP, and hell of a lot more than the glorified combat utility profession, that the CU made it........

(A Die-Hard smuggler until this game is flushed down the toilet)

Smugglers always get the girls (or boys for out fellow Smugglerettes). That is some kind of neat feature.

There is only one thing right now that is keeping me from dumping smuggler. Feign Death. I love this ability. I can count on one hand the amount of times I've died since becoming a Master Smuggler.

Slicing is nice but I make 95% of my money from Bounty Hunter loot.

I don't sell spices...the income potential is not worth the time. It is to have a factory full of spice for my own use rather then going out shopping for it.

Afk Faction farming kills any chance of making money selling faction points or items.
