MMORPG: A number of the SWG players who visit our site have expressed the feeling that a good portion of your content is geared toward Jedi characters, and that non-Jedi characters are often left by the wayside. How do you respond to this?

Julio Torres: This is more of an issue of perception. What often causes this impression is that the Jedi are one of the most iconic and popular type of Star Wars characters for fans and as result many players take on the Jedi profession. Additionally, the Star Wars fiction and canon hold the Jedi to be some of the deepest and most intricate characters in the universe, so in order to remain consistent with this the Jedi require proportionally more depth than some of the other characters and professions, especially when you involve the mysterious nature of The Force. As with any game of this type, the more players you have of a certain class or profession, the greater the challenge of delivering fresh content for said players. Despite this we still maintain that Galaxies has an equal, if not more, amount of content for non-Jedi professions.

Right. That's why this community has been waiting for so long when publish after publish is devoted to Jedi. Guess what Torres, it's not just perception for some of us, it'd REALITY! Jedi are not the only iconic profession in Star Wars. You go on to mention canon in the interview and talk about the role of Jedi in Star Wars, but your focus and implementation to date in this game completely flies in the face of canon and profession roles. It amazes me that you still think we buy into this kind of propoganda.

MMORPG: Do you feel that players have given this game unfair negative criticism because of the Star Wars title?

Julio Torres: Not at all as we like to hear all forms of feedback from our player base, it is not only listened to by us but very appreciated. We are always working on improving our game for the players, so their feedback is essential for this to happen. If anything, the Star Wars brand helps the game because of its easy recognition and die-hard fans.

Apparently it only matters if you're part of a select portion of the game. You are not listening to your players nor are you improving the game for us. We are still here waiting. You censor the negative feedback, so how can you say you're listening?

MMORPG: Even though Mustafar has plenty of content, quests, items, etc. for non-Jedi, there is GREAT content specifically for Jedi, especially when you consider we have robust quests and missions given by one of the greatest Jedi ever.

Julio Torres: As I mentioned before, with all content we make sure that there is something that appeals to all professions, Jedi and non- Jedi alike. Trials of Obi-Wan is no exception. We are confident all high-level Galaxies players will find enjoyment in what we are bringing to them on Mustafar.

Really? Where's the Smuggler content? Better yet, while you're putting in expansion content for Jedi and other professions, where the hell is the basic game content that Smugglers have been waiting for for so long? I will not buy this expansion until I see smuggling in game, but from the Smugglers I have spoken to that did get the expansion, there is NOTHING specificly for us... but there's a "great" storyline for Jedi as you've said. How in the hell do you justify this crap?

You sir deserve a /BOOKSHELF!

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

His whole interview makes it pretty obvious that he does not play this game, actually not any game at all. Just businesstalk. He is THE DEVIL! THE DEVIL I SAY!

His predecessor tried to pull this crap before when the community revolted. It's not only a problem of not playing the game, hell he might play it but I'm sure he plays a Jedi since he works for LA, it's a problem of selling propaganda about the game and it's players.

Nothing he says is very accurate and as you can see by my responses some of it is completely untrue.

Torres is a joke, if you'll recall he tried to use the same sort of "double speak" in hinting that Smugglers would be "happy" with the expansion.

I dont remember his exact words, but he phrased it in a way to suggest that Smugglers indeed had something to look forward to...without saying exactly what it was the we should look forward to.

Well...we cant slice any of the weapons, and there are no Smuggler specific weapons...hell, there is not even a Mustafar space sector..

It's safe to say that he's just a suit, and nothing more.

Also.. the Yt-1300> Yt-2400

Yeah, my roomate send me the Link to it. I saw the name Julio Torres and was about to close the browsertab, but then thought: "Okay give the guy a chance. You never know, maybe something interesting or worth reading is in it."
I read it. Twice. I was really trying to get something else than just "Buy the 'new and exciting' expansion". I failed. Nothing. Lies, halftruths, waste of precious air.
The more I read from LucasArts the more I get the feeling that they are the actual culprits for the way this all is running.

Not like it matters, you can't get the 2400 unless you have a group of 8 Jedi anyway!

*laughing* Yes, I heard. The YT comparison was put in there in case someone wanted topost " Hey, at least you guys get a ship!" or [ insert random idiotic response here].

Seems about right though, Mustafar is after all, a Jedi expansion.

Okay, anyone saying he plays the game...

This is the guy who, in an interview, stated that the CU happened because Creature Handlers were TOO powerful.

The guy doesn't have a clue, and a bookshlef is almost too kind for the lieks of him. Since there are so many cool things to add to the excitement of a bookshelf (like glass, sandpaper, rabid wolverines, etc.), we can still roll with it.

Besides it is standard tool for all LA/SOE a$$hats.
