I say 20-30k per slice NO EXCEPTIONS until we get our profession fixed...

and the ppl who post in this forum and voice that smugglers are getting abused by the DEV's get free slicing....


or you can do what im building up the nerve to do and thats kick this game to the curb for City of Hero's or the next major flavor of mmorpg that hits the market and say hasta' to these guys here at SOE

Jbezorg. I've read your post a few times now. The words are all right, the grammar is all good, but I just can't seem to understand what you're saying, if anything at all.


We know that money talks but the problem with walking out the door is that whilst you may benefit the community by doing so, you cut your nose off to spite your face. If you're suggesting that we should walk away and stop complaining I feel you have the wrong attitude. If those of us that want some action walk away and leave you people who are content to sit here talking, twiddling your thumbs, nothing will get done.


Whether you are a fanboy comes down to what you feel is acceptable.


Forget the lies we had last year. Forget the untruths regarding what was getting fixed and when. Lets stick to the poignant facts of the past three weeks.



  • Greenmarine promises a post regarding the proposals for Underworld within 7 days.

  • Seven days passes and no post comes from Greenmarine.

That I could live with. Lets carry on.



  • 14 days pass and there is still no post from Greenmarine.

  • Not one developer has taken the 30 seconds to make a post saying "Greenmarine is a little tied up at the moment and can't make the Underworld post just yet"

  • The developers state in an open chat forum that Greenmarine is actively working with the Smuggler community at this time.

  • 21 days pass. No post is made by the developers.

So here's where the coin falls. Do you think this is acceptable behaviour? If you do then I believe you are a fanboy and that you have no worth to the community whatsoever.


If you agree this is unacceptable join the queue, make your stand, send in your bug reports and feedback, and e-mails and make yourself heard. Dont make excuses and say that wanting to do something is "whining"


Before I sign off on this one I want to direct your attention to this quote;

I put it in big red letters for you because I know you struggle. But here it is once again for you.


I AM NOT CAMPAIGNING FOR AN EARLIER REVAMP.

I AM MERELY ASKING FOR CONTINUED DIALOGUE FROM THE DEVELOPERS WHICH IS UPDATED FORTNIGHTLY AT THE VERY MINIMUM, IN WHICH NEW INFORMATION IS SHARED WITH US WHENEVER POSSIBLE.

That's all most of us are asking for. Now - which part didn't you understand?


It's really sad that people can't differentiate between "whine" and "complain" or are conditioned to believe that "complaining" is a bad thing, because those people are probably the ones sat in the restaurant eating something they don't like because they are too afraid to tell the waitress that she brought them the wrong meal.

seeing as how Docs get away with charging 25-30k for temporary buffs. i think this might be the exact idea we needed... i had the though of suggesting that we stop sliceing alltogether. but i didn't know if it would work..

The really sad thing is, the Image Designer forum used to be the same way—mature, constructive, patient, et cetera—until the ID "Enhancement" with Publish 8.1. Communication and implementation was handled so poorly that it caused the community to implode. It's gotten better of late, but things still aren't back to where they were.


Once again I would caution, be careful what you wish for—you just might get it.
