Excuse my pessimism I but I believe this a ploy. I believe they knew about the crate autopull and could have fixed but chose rather to let it make it to live. That way in a month or two they can publish a miny patch and pass of the fixing of the problem as love for the smuggler. Sad but you know its coming.
