I have a smuggler alt, not quite master yet, and havent really done much of anything with her yet. Can anyone tell me what all these new components are and where to get them for slicing?

The smuggler FAQ (stickied) has a breakdown of the slicing system and at least a partial list of what MObs drop what components.


It's not hard to guess, though: high-end MObs drop the high-end components, so queue up behind the other loot hunters for your chance at the Krayts! It's time for SWG: Jedi vs. BH vs. Krayts! (Plus whatever else the loot whunters hunt these days.)


I seem to remember that in the early stages of this game, part of the philosophy was to create a system in which looted items were the exception, not the rule. A system in which players were to depend on other players for their equipment rather than camping MObs for their stuff. But then again, Jedi were going to be rare, too...


Sorry, starting to go off topic. There's a bit of bitterness 'round here. As I look into the future of SWG,the only smugglersI see alts kept as slice-monkies in shared accounts.

you cant get this stuff anywhere other than loot? or paying some ridiculous price for it from someone else who looted it?

No. Loot is the only way to get the items that we NEED to perform what little function we have left. Either that, or indeed pay the ridiculous price.

Hi, i just resubscribe to SWG, after being away for about a year and a half, right before jump to light speed came out. I have read the smuggler forums because i used to be a master smuggler and see they have changed alot, but it doesnt bother me(alot) and still wish to be a smuggler and SWG is a very social game to me, without socialization i will get bored, so basicly i dont really have any characters yet and am looking for a friendly smuggler who is willing to take me under his/her wing and become my mentor, i am willing to make a character on any north american servers, so ya, just PM me and let me know if your interested.
