Ya gotta do what you gotta do. Life happens, and it's more important than a video game.

Hope everything works out for you, and you're able to have the time for gaming again soon!

There are missions in which you "deliver an item while hostiles attack you" in every profession. I still don't consider [Smuggler's Alliance] pilots to be Smugglers, nor 'Smuggling' - at least not any more than Rebel Pilots or Imperial Pilots might sometimes "smuggle", with a lower-case s - JFreeman - 10/6/04

Once the torch is passed I will be moving on completely from Star Wars Galaxies and there is very little chance of my return. There are simply too many bittersweet memories to contend with as far as I am concerned. I still think this is the MMO with the most potential that just hasn't been realized. SadlyIfound that it was easier for me to say farewell than it was for me to see what I could do to continue my subscription regardless of my predicament.

Thanks for sending SOE the only message that matters: you're no longer willing to pay for an inferior product. They wouldn't listen to you otherwise, but maybe *this* will get through to them!

Wow Caylin, I am sorry I did not get more time to get to know you better. From my surfing in the forums time you are the most active, involved and perfect correspondant I could have hoped to find. The person filling your shoes is gonna have a high expectations from the community, they are gonna need to be as active as you or find themselves getting the flak so often given to corrspondants and devs. I wish you the best in your MMO gaming future. And I am truly saddened to the point of not being able to log in today to see so cool a correspondant go....

Truely Floored by this Info. Caylin You have been one of the Most Vocal and Supportive Correspondants I have ever seen. What You have done for the Smugglers will Always stay with us.

Keep an Eye out for an R2 unit to be sent after You.

It will contain a Message that will sound a lot like:

"Old soldiers never die, they just fade away." US Army ballad as quoted by Douglas McArthur.

This remindes me of graduation night, the last time you see some of your friends before you all go your seperate ways in life.

And this reminds me of the final day of the sports season when you're a kid, but the game itself doesn't matter so much because your sports idol is retiring. A tear wells up as you realize a legacy is over and you've just seen his last great play. (OK, so Edgar Martinez has a few games left, I'm man enough to admit I'll cry....)

Caylin, you are one of the great people in this world. Just from what i've seen from you over the course of 6 months, i can tell, as everyone else can, that you'll go far in whatever you chose to pursue. Good luck with all your aspirations. If you choose to run for public office, you've got my vote

All that's left to say is May the Force Be With You. (that's not too nerdy, is it?)

Stay off the boards for a week, and you get this kind of news...

You have been an excellentleader Caylin and I salute you for all of your hard work and effort. May your name appear as the blue-glowie here in the future.

Also, if SWG had a Correspondent Hall Of Fame, you and the late Raph, would surely be the first 2 inducted.

Aw, man.

Caylin, I am so sorry to hear this news. You have to do what you have to do -- I understand. But you will be missed.

Thank you for all your hard work, your sense of humor, your organizational abilities, your articulateness, your ability to keep your cool (and I am sure we do not know the half of it, since as correspondent you are privvy to so much more than we are), your willingness toget in there and fight for what you believed was right for the communityand your continued optimism even under the extreme circumstances the Smuggler community has had to endure.

But most of all, Caylin: thank you for your heart. You have a seemingly inexhaustible one.

And as for RL -- I can say with confidence (which I have gained through reading your posts here) that you will go far. You will have a job soon, and any company who hires you will prosper with you there.

Good luck out there. God, you will be missed.
