Thread: What does everyone want as a question for the next 19 answers?
Funny we were thinking the same thing at the same time. Caylin it might not be a bad to ask a question like this.

How about the most general question of all pertaining to our profession:
It has been approximately one year since Star Wars Galaxies has been launched. In that time the Smuggler community has been promised "love" virtually with every publish. We are said to be a jack-of-all trades profession, yet are currently unable to excel in any aspect of this game. Since our revamp has been tentatively scheduled for Publish 11, since we are currently developing a community vision statement in conjunction with this revamp, since we have been told we are a "space-based profession" and JTL is around the corner, what roll, if any, do the developers at SOE see the smuggler profession having? Please state in specific terms and examples how the smuggler profession will become a viable and integrated part in the gameplay of Star Wars Galaxies."
Yimayz, we musta been on the same brain wave there! I didn't say exactly all that, but I to believe that any question we have discussed carries as much, if not more weight, than any question any other profession has asked. SE, spice downer, Feign death, Revamp, etc, are all hugely important questions, any i think we'll be happy to get info on any and all of these issues.
-edit- missed a letter.

I don't think we do. I am firmly convinced that JTL has zero smuggler content. This is shaping up just like the Imperial Crackdown brouhaha where many smugglers got all invested in the scans and evasion as "our content", and then got their panties in a bunch when imperial officers got "free smuggler skills". The Imperial Crackdown was never about smugglers, and the JTL isn't either.
Uhmmm that is still a problem. The war isn't over on this issue as it is smuggler content being given away freely. It may not have been about smugglers originally, but when they made our illegal goods items that were scanned, and then told us we would be helping other players get passed the scans (I've yet to be asked to do that) then it falls into our domain.
It's left a large mess that we have to fix for our revamp and any hope of player smuggling.

Yeah, i know unfortunately. Was trying to think of something that could incorporate JTL and revamp answers, force some kind of answer, be respectful yet show a certain level of displeasure all rolled into one. But you are probably right that they'd shift ownership back to us, at least until they see a revamp document they had zero input on and return with red pen marks everywhere.
Caylin...I'm inclined to agree that I don't see much new for us in the SE. There's four new professions. One's shipwright. The other three are factional pilot professions
Alliance Pilot
Imperial Pilot
Neutral Pilot (which they're thinking of calling privateer)
How much you wanna bet that all of the professions are gonna have the same bonuses? In fact they're gonna be EXACTLY the same, except with different certifications. Or at least that's my guess.
So...
That's why I want to ask the Space Expansion question...to clear this up. I would just ask them...
"How, specifically, is Jump to Lightspeed going to bring Smugglers closer to actual Smuggling (as opposed to giving us stuff to loot, and things to slice, and having our own ship to modify)?"
Like you said we've been told for awhile now that we're a space based profession, implying that our worth will truly be known, but I've seen NO indication that that's true in any way. They'll give us ship that we can modify. They'll give us some more Criminal factions to fight and stuff to loot. But they won't make us smugglers. It'll be more of the same. I'd bet my title on it.

Given that JTL is being described as a 'twitch-based fighter', what are some of the changes in JTL that willhelp smugglers reach their full potential?"
We likes it my precious.
Actually I think it's too ambiguous. "Well they'll have ships they can smuggle in, and can modify like Han Solo. Plus there will be lots of fabulous missions and loot!"
I like mine better because it addresses the point directly of "How is this going to make us better SMUGGLERS (not junk men or mechanics or drug dealers or slice monkies)?"

OMG if they said that i think we would all rip our own faces off, lol.........![]()
We are all so confused we cant agree on anything. Even somthing as simple as 19 questions. It's sad really, mainly because we all want the same thing.....
I think this is the question that needs to be asked. The phrasing is tricky though... kinda like dealing with one of those evil genies. If you don't phrase it exactly right you end up with the last thing you want... namely, "Wait for the combat balance".
Something along the lines of "Are we space based or not? If so to what degree?".
Here is my question:
When will the Feign Death exploits be addressed, and why does Taurin think that it is not a viable PVP combat skill?
