All of you make very good points, and this is indeed a very interesting post to come across. I do acknowledge the dev's attributes to the game but what i feelsomeof you dont understand, is that when they come to the gamers in the forums and ask for advice on "how to make the game better" or "what problems does the game currently have" they do try their best to come through and do the best they can for their customers. I can definatly assure you that this thread has not gone overlooked by the dev team. Though they havent posted on here, im sure that this thread has definatly made an impact,a large enough impact to speed up the process of the smuggler revamp, hardly likely, but always remember the players are a major impact on the way a game is built. The devs come to you for help, and posts like this is definatly what us players should continue to do, and that is point out the faults of the game. Whether the dev's want to meet with the community face to face with these problems is up to them, but posts like these definatly let everyone in the SWG developement crew know how we feel. I personally am not a smuggler, but i know its gotta be frustrating to be told something is coming, time and time again, and not getting it. With that being my first post on these forums, i sign out for now.

Here is how I see things. I myself work in software development and I know that sometimes you get taken off projects and assigned to other things - its a pain in the *rse as a developer but a sad fact of life.

At the end of the day the devs are people who get paid to do a job, they do what their boss tells them to do. On this note I can understand that the smuggler revamp may have been needed to be delayed for other 'more important' projects.

What I think is totally unacceptable is the fact that these devs (or there superiors or whoever) continue to keep us in the dark, if the smuggler revamp has been put on hold for the time being- TELL US!!! As for the decision as to why the Jedi revamp is more important than smuggler, who knows, I personally would look at the number of smugglers compared to the number of jedi's and revamp the proffession with the most people - but hey maybe that is too logical

I think the majority of people here are getting very frustrated at the lack of feedback we are getting, if we know when we can expect the revamp we can quieten down a bit and get on with it.

I was in game last night and one of those "happ people" who are too busy "playing the game" to complain said to me one of our new chat channels:

"Sweet! GCW and smugglers are pub 11!"

I asked where he was seeing this (In desperate hope of a reversal in policy I went to the dev tracker to see the news) ... but he was reading the "in concept" page.

I had to explain that that's all been moved, and that the DEVs are discounting the critism because the only people who are complaining... are the people they've told about it.

Agreed, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't still be bumped. I'd prefer it that every new smuggler that comes to these boards read this, along with all the other info posts, as I think it's essential they're aware of the history so far so that they can judge for themselves whether they want to risk waiting for a revamp. They may be satisfied with smuggler as it is now and that's great for them, but I think it's best they have all the information so thatthey can decide.
