Thread: Please welcome the new Smuggler Correspondent!
Not to defend one position or the other, but the same thing happened when Tanks received teh BH correspondent position. Most of us had never heard of him, and yet he seems to be a pretty good guy. I'm not going to say I agree with everything of course, as there have been some things I have not, but he does a good job (from what we can see) representing the community and getting to the issues.
I figure the first couple weeks will tell for sure whether Lodek will turn out to be a great guy, or the worst thing that happened. All in all, I say welcome aboard and let's get started.

You know... from reading the posts here, I can't possibly imagine why some of you weren't considered for the position.While you'relooking up Lodek's historyyou might wanna take a look at yer own and see what kind of overall tone TH is looking at. I mean hell, some of you directly participated in running our old correspondent out of office. There is a difference between argument and debate... a leader and a bully.
That having been said... good luck Lodek. Don't let the trolls drag u down. IMHO this is the best profession in the game and can only get better.

There we go - took a couple tries though.
And on top of that I was beat to it while I was trying. DOH! 
1. Congrats Lodekall (or however you spell it ), it's nice to have a correspondant and i hope things work out well.
2. To all of you who attack (and yes attack is the right word here) TH for his actions in such a demeaning manner, please do not use "we" when describing your opinions. I don't want to be associated with you, you do not speak for the sommunity and definitly not for me. I have the impression a lot of players feel the same way, express your own opinion as exactly that and leave "us" out of your negative and over the top rants. Some of things said are downright personal, as if TH is only trying to ruin your lives for no reason otherthen sheer joy. I pity the people who have to put up with you everyday in your real lives. (note: those who debate with TH without flames, i don't include you in this).
3. I think Kav should have got the job, and i really appreciate his candor in this matter. There are a few others who said they would have applied for the job, and seeing their bitter responses, i'm very happy they didnt get it. Leadership is not a selfish enterprise. I think Kav will be getting his shot as correspondant one day as is.
btw, just to head ya off at the pass, i'm not a n0ob, or even new to smuggling. i'm not the best player in the world, in fact i probably suck, i get it handed to me in PvP on a regular basis, but that's ok. the way i see it, this game is about me relaxing and having fun; whichit is for me 95% of the time. if i do get frustraded with it, theni walk away for a bit. i hope some of you do the same.
now where's my spaceship?
