well you did a fantastic job on the Y8. when i first took a spin in one of those, i was floored.
i dropped my Roleplaying character and spoke OOC in spatial just because i was so damn excited

it's just so spacious in there.
i hope you get to do some nice interior art for, say, a Nebulon-B or an assortment of other capital ships soon

Just to back up Kelko's statement above:

"I didn't say it wasn't postponed either. All I said is right now the Live team is focusing on fixing what is broken and new features will be moved out to a long term implementation. "

I'm sorry, but those two sentences are unacceptable. At the very least, we deserve straight answers from the people responsible for talking to us. This is from someone who has not only been polite and respectful of all red names who post here, but has defended them many times in the past. Hasn't really done much good, obviously.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled topic.

Good job on the Y-8. It really looks nice. If only the other devs could get the balance issues with POB ships worked out. I assume that once you guys start working on adding player controlled capital ships to the game, you'll be doing some of the modelling for that. Seeing as how it takes 2 months to do a ship the size of the Y-8, I assume you guys will be looking for whatever shortcuts you can find, such as using the Corellian Corvette as the first capital ship, since its exterior and interiormodels are already in the game. If you're looking for another shortcut, might I suggest that you use the crashed Lucky Despot ship in Mos Eisley. The exterior of the ship is probably 80% modelled already, and the interior is probably over 90% done. The ship that the Lucky Despot is made out of in the game would make a nice alternative to the Corellian Corvette. Its not quite as long as the Corvette, but its noticably wider. All you'd have to do then is model one more capital ship from scratch and you'd be able to give all three factions their own type of capital ship.

I havn't gone anywhere, still cranking out art for everyone
As it has been mentioned I'm not really in the loop as far as programming. I'm an artist. I have posted a couple of times but it usually doesnt work out too well. I'm still around though. I'm here reading the forums, logging into SWG every day and playing by your sides.

You know... the 2d artwork in this game is great. You are really doing a great job. I loved the color 2d icons from day one, and I love the paintings.

The only thing I miss in terms of 2d art iscolor-customizeable textures, most noteworthy house wallpaper, furniture, clothes and armor. Someone said it cant be done, but I am still dreaming. Even droids have a very limited palette.

Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

Cool... Any chance it's getting more space and like a third deck when it's revamped?

And have you got any idea when the revamp for it is scheduled?

When you turn a concept drawing into a 3d model, do you make little plaster or clay models first, like I saw in some Making Of's for Movies with Animated Characters (i.e. Lord of the Rings)? Or do you design them directly on your Computer?

Any chance of sorting out the artwork for the Master Pilot Jacket and helmet?? The jacket looks inflateable and the helmet has no neck!!!

The Imp and Reb stuff is cool - Please make Neutral pilots proud to wear their flight gear

the graphic art in this game is nothing short of awesome.

Just be glad you can wear your master pilot jacket and helmet. All 3 of my wookiee master pilots got shafted with stuff they cant even use. The bandoleer doesnt count, being as it isnt a master pilot reward, its given when ya start piloting.

SWG-Goliath, I dont suppose you'd care to divulge or get Tiggs/TH to make a Friday Feature about the total crew that works behind the doors of SWG? I'm really curious about how many coders, testers, artists, concept artists, and all the little people we never see. Including how many people maintain servers and all that good stuff. Would be interesting to know and see how you guys all interact.

Why is it so difficult for you to accept that there are no "straight" answers to your questions. You want them to fix the bugs? Sure you do. You want new features w/o bugs? Of course! You want them to tell you when it will be ready? *Bzzzz* Ain't gonna happen. You can't have it both ways. It's impossible. Either they ship code on a schedule (bug count be damned) or they ship when the bugs are fixed. You can't do both.

I for one am very glad they're concentrating on fixing bugs for a while...
