Well, I don't see it accomplishing anything discussion-wise. But keeping it kind of does give us a way of saying look how far we've fallen.
And it'll be something to say when they "clean house" again and one of our stickies dissappears. Then you can really say, LOOK *SSHOLES, WHAT THE F*CK are you doing?

What ever happened to the post detailing our history?
I think it was called "A Brief Smuggler History in SWG, according to the devs!" That was a good post, and that one should be stickied for them to look at.

I'm sure its just a matter of time before this 'discussion' magically goes the way of the others/slicing 'In concept' doc. We keep bumping it enough times they'll remember its here and dispose of it.

Here we have the most important topic to our profession. How could they possibly delete it? Shouldn't we give SOE more credit than that?

See this link for part 1:
Summary 1: The key argument was over the impact of "visibility" punishments for ripping off suppliers or failing smuggling missions. There is a portion of the player base that desires PvP and a portion that does not. The main issue is the possibility of "involuntary PvP" or a player gaining a bounty who wants to be a smuggler but not participate in PvP.
I havent read this entire thread so i apologize if i am repeating what others may have said but in regards to this comment, and i'm sure some people will hate this idea, couldn't smugglers also gain a lesser amount of visibility from SUCCEEDING in a mission? Think about it, you successfully smuggle a shipment and rumours get out that you did a good job. This may or may not get back to the authorities but one rumour isnt enough to convict you. But if you succeed in more and more jobs in a short period of time eventually the law will hear more rumours and decide to investigate you, or put up a bounty for your arrest.
Any smart smuggler would lay low while the heat dies down and the visibility drops but if you're greedy and go on a crime-spree you take the risk of alerting the law enforcement agencies out there.
