Regarding price.....i charge 100 creds per percent of increase, and have had no complaints whatsoever. Customer's see it as a "reward" for a good slice, the better i do on one, the more i make. As for choosing which kind of slice you get at master, i don't think it should be a guaranteed, but perhaps you get the option to attempt, say a speed slice, fails sometimes but not always. Of course the percent is still random, otherwise NOONE but a Master will be slicing anything.

Hi All! Was never a big forum reader but glad there a section on Smugglers.My self I play on Corbantis as a Master Smuggler,Master Pistoleer,Medic .... I know alot of you Smugglers either make or buy tools off someone like myself had a friend who had had his own store on Corbantis server he had the lowest prices around for tools this guy actually dominated the market by lowering prices he served over 350 smugglers.Knifes where like 1k per crate clamps 5500kfor a box of clamps...anyway notice some charged by either % rate or a fixed price for slices..I charge a flat rate of 1k per slice....Not like I make a fortune slicing but people tend to come back to me because of my prices..actually make more money slicing missons terminals I love my trade no matter wat bugs there are I still have fun anyway about changes to smugglers trade my self I'd like to see control slices from master Smugglers which I seen posted here someone brings a weapon for example and ask's for damage that would be nice % rate would be random of coarse same work for armor...Well I know if they added that to Master Smuggler I think we'd be more popular...Myself I'd like to see a smugglers Terminal for missons might sound dumb but I'm sure they can think of something for us to do Thanks for reading my post hope I wasn't off topic to much hehehe

Hey Sphinxman! Haven't seen you much since I moved to Naboo. You must be talking about Got'chu's shop. IMO, it was the absolute best shop on Corbantis. I had just opened a spice vendor when he closed his doors. I decided to open a tools vendor after he closed shopbecuase to be honest, no one can compete with Got'chu on price and service. If he ever goes back into business I'm liquidating and going back to resources full time!

Here's a customer service friendly way I conduct my slicing business that 1) has made me a respected smuggler and 2) makes people feel good about a bad slice:

/yell Master Smuggler for hire. Slicing all weapons/armor. 5k Per slice. If slice is below 20%, you will get a 2k refund. No refund for rebels.

I also am a master Smuggler and very proud to say so but i have something to add here,When you take a locked container to a smuggler sometimes it desapears this has happened to me several times. People complain to swg about this not the smuggler, Also when we are sliceing for you dont keep asking questions because i myself have had to replace stuff because i got distracted and cut wrong wire so please respect the smuggler and if you get a bad slice live with it .We use top quality resorces to make our tools and we have no choice but to slice with what we make sometimes we get good % other not so good so dont bad mouth the master that would be like saying all other masters fail in what they do thnks

I like you comments and great work, however i do have to argue with calling a smuggler who would steal an item when it has been traded a schmuck. In all fairness, in the star wars universe a smuggler is, as they put it , a scoundrel. This being said, its more than likely that a han solo type would steal if the oportunity presented itself, and if you don't see this a the reason behind the tradeing system, then you want the game to be less realistic. I am a ferm believer that a thief profession is required to making the game even better. And what better class to start this with than the smuggler.

Stealing an item is against the policies set forth by SOE and is a bannable offence, any argument for or against is a moot point as it will get you banned, plain and simple.
