so tell me, what do you do with smuggler ATM? what does smuggler benefit you? and yes my opinion matters just as much as yours. every player has a right to give input on professions. smuggler takes unarmed 1 thru 4 and pistols 1 thru 4"which i have. its very easy for me to change back to smuggler. and since it takes pistols. i was making a comment that it should be given more pistol abilities. which would be more in line with smuggler. han solo was a smuggler. he did not combo attack his attackers. he shot them with his pistol.
That's why Han had Pistoleer boxes in there too. As far as what does smuggler do for me?
It keeps me ALIVE far longer than any other profession. Concussion shot and feign death are your friend. (with Feign death being the best skill in the game IMHO)
I get past silly contraband scans and I make good money slicing other players' equipment.
Granted, I cannot do heavy damage, but with the speed granted from pistoleer, I can up my DPS enough tobe able to get rid of same or lower level NPCs. For the higher levels, leg shot, underhand shot, root, snare anything that keeps them from getting close to me while I tick away at thier health. I only have to worry about kinetic damage but most ranged attacked don't do jack to my 8000k energy armor. I pack a DL44 for energy and a Kashyyyk Stalker pistol for kinetic in case some NPC or MOB has an insane resitance to either.
While I can't PVP, I enjoy smuggler greatly and I will not give it up just because SOE likes playing "carrot on a stick"
I have yet to find a use for the unarmed skill boxes, but give me a week and I'll get back to you on that.
